fussed about their other stuff.....I definitely have this with Chris Morris.
I was never really a fan of Day Today / Brass Eye. I got why people liked it so much, but I just didn't like the dead pan styled delivery - which obviously was the whole point.
When Blue Jam came out I wasn't overly impressed, although I preferred it to the previous stuff, but when Nathan Barley came out I was bowled over completely by it (although I know that Brooker was co-writer and invented the character for the TV go home website) and Four Lions is one of my favourite films. I liked the radio show - was it 'on the hour'?
Same with Monty Python. Not really a fan of the films. I don't mind The Holy Grail. I'm more a fan of the sketches - all of the flying circus stuff.
Post doesn't deliver.
Blue Jam was the radio show that was the precursor to the Channel 4 series Jam - again, some of the sketches are in both, and one of the Blue Jam sketches went on to for My Wrongs, the short he did with Paddy Considine.
He's presented lots of other radio shows too on local stations, the most notable being on GLR, probably.
Edited pastiches that they used to do. When they'd sew together bits of a recorded interview, to make the interviewee say what they wanted to say. One hilarious one that sticks in my mind is a sketch about the latest craze in America where pregnant women were getting a prenatal facial for their babies.
