You're Killing My Son
Anyone watch this? Depressing shit. Thank fuck that poor kid has a sane father.
I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few DiSers who feel the need to defend her.

twas mega-frustrating huh
That quack with the oxygen tanks. The man with the home-radiation-detectors. Fucking hell.
The woman was clearly cuckoo
I've read a fair bit in the local press, because the mother is from Brighton (who'd have thunk it, naming the child "Neon"?!?!).
It's really worrying how some people believe they know better than people who have spent years studying practices backed up by scientific evidence.
I watched a bit of it and then turned it off
Mother seemed self-obsessed arrogant lady who eats lentil ice cubes as a treat.
I didn't watch it.
Is the little boy ok now? What happened in the end?
He's on the mend
Now halfway through his chemo treatment. The documentary last night said that the cancer has gone.

it's bit like Jehovah's Whitnesses and blood transfusions
Good quote from The Telegraph. Decide for yourselves if he's embellishing
I make no judgement of this mother, and nor should any other casual observer. She should have met my wife and quoted her when one useless paediatric consultant wouldn't investigate a gut problem with our new born son. We wanted a barium meal x-ray done and he was fobbing us off, so she got the necessary form and had it filled out, took it to him with a pen and said "sign here, I can read the books and become a Doctor, but you can never be a Mother"
She was clapped all the way to the radiography department and cheered when she entered.
The's COMPLETELY different
This woman wanted to take her son off of conventional medicine, not provide conventional treatment that wasn't being offered by her doctor.
To compare the two is more than a little disingenuous.
"The's"?
fucking hell - I can't type for shit today.
Good quote from The Telegraph
Hahaha.
Love it when patients don't understand the principle behind differential diagnosis.
she sounds like a proper
twat.
It's shocking but I don't entirely blame the mother
I mean she clearly should know better but I also think the occasional case like this is inevitable when newspapers run constant health scares about conventional medicine and money-grabbing con artists sell quack cures to the sick and desperate to make a quick buck.
nah
well that's my jimmies rustled for the day
