i need a program for Word where you can convert something from the third person to the second person
So for instance:
Client has two debts with her utility provider and about £10,000 of unsecured debt
becomes
You have two debts with your utility provider and about £10,000 of unsecured debt
does such a thing exist?
ma0sm wonders if you've tried Googling this
ma0sm thinks this probably doesn't exist
you wonder if you've tried Googling this
you think this probably doesn't exist
I think Word plugins are fairly unusual things. Not sure how easy they are to write
although, I think docx files are pretty easy to work with. Couldn't you just write a choose your own adventure book from scratch?
go north
surrender your hifi to the bailiff
and no longer bogle to aswad
You used to work on the docks
Union has been on strike
You're down on your luck
It's tough, so tough
You work at the diner all day
Working for your man, you brings home your pay for love
For love
You say, "I've got to hold on to what I've got
Cause it doesn't make a difference
If I make it or not
I've got myself and that's a lot
For love
I'll give it a shot"
Woah
:D
you're halfway there!
*You used to work on the docx
strong posting :)
search 'client'
replace word with 'you'
You has two debts...
Classy.
the idea is there
I'm guessing he was hoping to not use CTRL+H since that's the most obvious thing.

find & replace innit
Isn't this the sort of thing that those bulk mailing bits of software can do?
You gonna use it regularly?
Just write a multiple find and replace macro and change the parameters for he she etc?
and switch he and she with your
but not all instances of your as some will not be specific to the perspective.
And the rest.
Start with the perspectives
and reloop without the perspective for the yours left
i've tried that
ends up reading like creole
Enter it in the booker prize
