Am I wrong in feeling a bit miffed that our MD is off on holday for ten days and I've been asked to cover all of his current projects, whilst also juggling my work load & keeping an eye on the rest of the team?
I thought at most he was going to set up his emails saying that he was out of the office for the next ten days and to only contact me in a matter of urgency, but we're having a handover later today. I don't get paid anywhere near MD level and I have enough work of my own to cope with. Am I just being stroppy or he taking he piss?
How does it work in your offices? Are you off on holiday?
