pip_ got the same promotion so well done to him
(although I did move into a job with better pay and better hours just over two years ago, so that felt like a promotion)
I've always got better paid jobs elsewhere instead.
Eyeing a promotion to senior engineer later this year, once/if I am chartered.
No sign of it ever ending, feel like fucking it off instead of wasting anymore of my time. Got no ambitions of management anyway.
and they take PE/CHartership a lot more seriously than we do.
Literally has never happened to me.
or at least that was the plan but then I managed to get myself sacked by insulting the Managing Director & Owner of the company during my salary negotiation
that was pretty much when I decided to go freelance/self-employed ... and there's no prospects there
and I got moved from doing the fries to doing the Big Macs.
Then I changed jobs and doubt there's any chance of a promotion here.
I should be getting another in a week or so. go me!
this will be the last year I am pretty much guarantees a promotion though, as after this you have to go through promotion panels and do stuff to even get invited to them and ERGH I might have to do non-work work like help set up events or meetings or help with pitches or something to get invited. I just want to play with code all day :(
And is contingent on passing a bunch of exams, but when it finally arrived it'll be doubling my pay.
... is what I tell myself while crying gin-soaked tears into my pillow at night.
if so, earlier this month
and in keeping with what appears to be one of today "hot topics" on the boards my new job title initials are O.C.D.
we moved up to the 'prem' and lost every week and went straight back down
