Love! Arts! Crafts!
I am saying Pinterest is designed to be used primarliy by women.
The thinly veiled is totally addicted. She freely admits that rather than a read a book or watch TV, she'd prefer to sit and scroll through endless pictures of jewellery, hair styles, pretty villages and funny/inspirational images.
Like, a pinteresting thing. fucking cunts.
perhaps I'll just tell them that actually.
like twitter and facebook are kindof short term, stuff you put on tends to disappear quickly, on pinterest it gets a longer lifespan?
I'm just wondering why a project to share experise and learning on [insert subject] between local governments across Europe would benefit from it.
Creating mood boards
it's good as a place to hang things for reference.
i'm not interested in any sharing nonsense, but it does have a good layout fro quick reference
After being briefed they sent an email saying they'd created some 'mood boards' on Pinterest and included links.
that's what it's made to do?
including the one that won the business, sent through actual work. Mock ups, ideas, further questions, timelines, budget plans, etc.
Showing us that you've found some pictures of cushions and fabrics that demonstrate the direction you're considering is just pointless.
its user base is predominantly women
no relation between the above two facts obvs
sorry, which big internet sites is it not ok to make fun of?
You heartless bastard!
above it are tumblr, microsoft.com, bing, linkedin, twitter, amazon, youtube and facebook, which are all impervious to piss taking?
(it's just too easy)
But it's defo the target of it's fair share of flack due to the not entirely unfounded* perception of it as a girly cupcake n cushions haven that's put it's head above the parapet.
It seems like a pretty shallow (and parasitic?) site, though, compared to stuff like Craftster (mega DiS for people wot make stuff) or Ravelry (the last.fm of yarn-centric exploits).
pockit or something
me & joeymahone have done, to pitch for more gigs: http://pinterest.com/joesophiedjs/our-gig-history/
I expect there are other sites where you can do that too, but it worked quite nicely.
available for all your indie disco needs etc.
