do you eat breakfast? well SCIENCE says you fucking should

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 58 replies 02:44, 25 July '13

http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/blog/2013/jul/24/eat-breakfast-risk-coronary-heart-disease

what a stupid line...

''if you'd like to decrease your chance of heart disease, then you should definitely eat breakfast''

ok then, in that case i'll have breakfast every day.....A FUCKING FRIED BREAKFAST THAT IS!!!

haha...take that...that wont help my heart will it, you twat?

why can't they just say....'studies have found that it is better for the human body to spread out its food intake over as wide a period as possible'

as opposed 'EATINGZ BREAKFAST WILL MAKE SURE U DONT DIEE EVAAAER'

i don't eat breakfast because it doesn't stop me eating any less throughout the day.

i need a bowl of cereal when i get in from work. i just fucking need it. it's my pick up.

now, i can either cut out the extra bowl in the morning...which i don't need..just not hungry in the morning...or i can be a good boy and eat breakfast like you say? thus having two bowls, when i only need one.

will that extra food make me better will it?

  • you may say...

eat the bowl in the morning, and you wont need the one after work.

    no. it just doesn't work.

anything eaten before 11.00 has no impact on my day.

        • I care, mike

I truly do. I don't want you dying of overeating just because the Guardian told you that science says you absolutely must start your day with tea and crumpets.

  • Here's the best breakfast:

I like to call it summer porridge because I'm cool like that. It requires some preperation. Before you go to bed put a cup of porridge oats in a bowel and then add one-one and a half cups of milk and if your feeling cheeky some raisins. In the morning you have a delicious bowl of slop, especially if you finish off with a drizzle of honey. I beleive this will make you better.

      • some grilled bacon and tomato (and you can probably have an egg every second day without fuxcking your cholestrol)

It's not that bad for you,. complete pain to rustke up in the office tohugh and you're not going ot catch me wasting precious time in the morning perparing it at home. (theres a greasy spoon near my office where you can get a fry/grill up for £1.50ish)

        PickledOeuf @michael_w | 25 Jul '13, 19:57 | X
        • it's a myth that eggs are bad for your cholesterol

          http://www.bhf.org.uk/heart-health/conditions/high-cholesterol.aspx

"Will eating too many eggs raise my cholesterol?

The number of eggs you can eat in a week is often a common source of confusion. In the past, a restriction on eggs was recommended because we thought that foods high in cholesterol (including liver, kidneys and shellfish, and eggs) could have a negative impact on cholesterol levels in the body.

However, as research in this area has developed, so too has our understanding of how foods that contain cholesterol affect people’s heart health.

For most people, the amount of saturated fat they eat has much more of an impact on their cholesterol than eating foods that contain cholesterol, like eggs and shellfish. So unless you have been advised otherwise by your doctor or dietician, you can include eggs as part of a balanced and varied diet."

Me? I have bran flakes or grape nuts if it's cereal. Or I have toast (or both). Or I have porridge with a banana in and a yoghurt. Or maybe some fancy pants 'Finest*' granola.

        TheoGB @michael_w | 25 Jul '13, 20:06 | X

I'm fine even though I don't but I do have a weird bowel movement cycle as a result. As I discussed with my flatmate the other day.
