who I had seen listening in on my conversation at another party and then come up to me last night and start a conversation about that exact (and kind of vaguely personal) topic with no acknowledgement that he knew already what I had to say. He asked if i wantes to speak at a spoken word night he's doing on this topic (i said no). Then when I told my friends they said he's asked them too. Didn't really know what to make of it. Think I overreacted in my being weirded out. Someone also said he'd been taking notes.
Anyway, guy at party, if you're reading: it's ok to be really weird just maybe open with, for example, "hi I overheard your conversation at blah blah..." It would be less weird for people and they'd be more likely to speak at your night.
'Yeah it is weird DD'
'Yeah but I just can't get over how weird it was'
'I agree that it was pretty weird but don't worry about it'
'Yeah but it was just so weird'
But she wants to go to the beach, in Brighton, and I don't really like going to the beach. In fact I hate it.
I'm going to the beach now.
but really would prefer just laying in a park all day under a tree or something. Far more comfortable. Unfortunately round these parts when you say you don't fancy roasting yourself on the beach you're met with a look as if you've got four heads or something.
I can imagine. At least in scotland when we talk of the beach it's involving wellies and sou'westers. I wa sta the beach yesterday and people looked in a genuine state of shock at the fact we were in bikinis and applying factor 30. My friend who has just moved to edinburgh from Manchester is brazilian and grew up on the costa verde and he said it was the hottest day he'd experienced in years yesterday. Today s not looking so good though :(
really great location, good price. even cancelled a shift at work to go see it.
looked at the ad just before leaving, only available three weeks after i become homeless.
feeling pretty http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anXKnXVm-Kc right now
and with the Fringe and the Festival August just turns into "gouge the tourist" season for short-term lets
Sorry about your home guntrup :( hope you find somewhere imminently
I know it's not convenient but you're welcome to crash with me if it's after 20 August.
it was between me and this other guy and they flipped a coin and I lost :(
I downloaded all the thief games yesterday. Never got anywhere with them when I was young so really powering through them. Also, you know them 'spotted' facebook pages? A girl asked who the 'eddie vedder' lookalike is thats moved onto my street. So now I have a teenage goth bombarding me with messages. Marvellous
Come 'home' please.
It's opposite that place that wouldn't let us in at my birthday.
Doorman: so we're have you been tonight guys
S_a_d: (swaying idly and hiccuping)
Foley : (glowering, terrifyingly)
Simon: (poking at his pipe with the pipe pokey thing)
Me: WHERE HAVEN'T WE BEEN PAL (raucous laughter that sounds canned)
Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. I have a roof garden amongst the chimney stacks! I'm going to pretend I'm Parisienne .
I can see how you going to attempt that 'vibe'.
Christ, i feel like shit today. I'm going to attempt some dry toast.
Bad start to the day as I awoke to a pillow with lots of blood in it!
Hmmm this needs to stop!
Bloody Mary anyone?!
(It's too breezy and not sunny enough at the beach)
that NOBODY is going to post in
Not even the cricket is cheering me up much. Maybe I should go buy some beer
but I've just had to sack off spending the day with someone I really like as I find it too hot for doing anything. Now feeling a bit miserable if I'm honest.
Maybe it's not too late?
It's making me regret my decision more now.
But the heat just makes me an unpleasant person to be around and I can't enjoy anything, no matter what I'm doing or who I'm with. I think it's best just to cut my losses really and accept this.
i prefer sandy beaches over pebbles any day
