decent pubs/gigs/ritualised murders?
i'm landing monday. that'll be class too.
As far as google maps is telling me, it appears to be an office building.
nothing much else on at the start of the week.
Bring a bottle.
She's a bit brought if she has to wait between feeds for a while.
Must be a Great Cop gig on surely?
we're playing in a rehearsal studio to some kids, yes.
We did one of these in January, it was equal parts alot of fun and disturbing, but it is cheap and BYOB so could be a decent start to your evening.
or come to the GFT, whatever, Blacanieves is on for a week starting Friday and it looks amazing
which is king of a big deal. And the Merchant City Festival, but that's nothing next to Braid.
works for me, try this? https://www.facebook.com/events/599577846748615
but as PO suggests below you could do worse than to have a quick swatch on here -
also not to rub it in but you're missing this on saturday/sunday too which looks pretty guid - https://www.facebook.com/events/469071483179769/?ref=25
will probably be hiding indoors with the curtains shut on sunday
Lets have a Glasgow party in my honour
Let me have a look at The Skinny and let you know.
So you land on Monday- how long are you here for? Are you staying centrally?
not much on. I was hoping there'd be some place locals go to drink tennents and play russian roulette, accessible by a secret knock.
It's wherever pickledoeuf is! ;)
I'm trying to lay off the bevy a bit just now, but if you give us a shout next week I'm sure I can muster up some people to come and meat you and frankly scare the shite out of you. (JAPES AND THEWZA- young team, get in.) I don't reallly know what I'm dong one day to the next because of work (case in point- i should be at the football with my friends just now,. not stuck at a desk.)
charing x- the black sparrow, chinaskis
sauchiehall- nice n sleazy's, variety bar
central- the old hairderssers, stereo, the horseshoe bar (genuinely terrifying old geezer's boozer. I love it.)
you'll nee dot ask lo-pan and fitzcarraldo about the wwest end. By the time I ever get out there I can't remeember where we've gone.
The big slope
Roof terrace of the chip
Monday to Thursday probably.
in terms of music and heads (not in the 50 varieties of ale and filled with pompous bell-ends way).
Always the state.
stereo's better ;)
stereo doesn't even have a jukebox! they also don't sell buckaroo's ;)
I think I resent it because it's not cheap anymore. I mean stereo isn't really either, but it's a nicer place :P
this is a really weird point to argue over though :D
also stereo and the old hairdressers are too depressingly skanky for my tastes
that's urban industrial minimalistic chic, yo.
This looks quite good.
(I am not out in glasgow tonight nayway, so nerrrr.)
east end massive.
It looks good, ja?
I'm not going to know until the mornng whether i'm working, roadtripping, or seeing my friend for lunch as originally planned. FUCKING WORK.
if i didn't have this wedding tomorrow i'd definitely be going, if i'm not too burst might head down on sunday
It's all a bit up in the air because I am shite and all of the beloved people in my life are shite.
hmmm. "street food festival" - where street = glazed courtyard, festival = mess hall.
had to queue to get in. how very london, daaahling. got in. fought through the hella narrow space around the edge to file past the food stalls one at a time (and a yelp website stall - how very london, daaahling). stood still for a moment to suss out what we fancied but got told that we were blocking a circulation space. hmmm.
felt like it was mostly 30-something WEndies on a day trip to the east end to try and relive their edgier early 20s days with the reassurances that there'd be organic gourmet burgers available from trusted West End establishments... and face painting for the kids.
sacked off the canteen in a greenhouse vibe within five minutes and went to the pub instead. had beer in actual glasses alongside full plates of food, in cool calm surroundings, for half the price.
the photos will look great on facebook, though (slightly ironic seeing as the promoter is basically a scottish linkedin/facebook wannabe). #iwasthere
i'm being a bit unduly over the ott, and the next one will probs be a bit better without the high temperatures and whatnot. but there was a definite feeling that half the folk there wouldn't been seen dead at the barras at any other time. dunno. hope those who went enjoyed it.
