people down south don't think it's real.
but it is.
doesn't it make you aroused or something?
am i meant to blow it off first, or snort it?
Edinburgh chippy sauce is better.
Best sauce(s) / condiment(s) to accompany chips
I never really thought
or French Mustard.
chips + curry sauce is king
NOT VINE THOUGH, NOT HAVING SOME MANCHESTER TWAT TELLING ME NORTH YORKSHIRE ISN'T NORTH
he's from Hull. I reckon it's a localised Hull thing.
all that survives of us is spice
Stuffing my ears with cotton-
wool , to drown
The jabbering set he egged
her on to buy.
I know his habits - what time
he came down,
His preference for sauce to
chip spice, why
**I've never seen it as far north or east than Market Weighton with a potential sighting in Pocklington, but that could be myth. I doubt you can even get it in Wetwang. Its well Hull that one.
I just remembered I had some from a chippy in York once, late one night. Oh fuck.
Is it a thing in the uk?! Where can I buy it?!
Is like a mix of paprika, salt and garlic powder. That's probably all it is actually.
Salt, Flavour Enhancer E621, Tomato Powder, Paprika (11%), Onion, Garlic
just make it yourself?
Oh yes, it's right there behind the Flavour Enhancer E631.
Did you say E631?
assumed people didn't want the enumbers
Have it knocking about ready to create chip spice, not so much
But ironically, I do actually have the E621
i've never seen chip spice, despite being in the north, and was just curious as to the ingredients. plus it says 'truly unique blend of spices' which i thought was pushing it a bit.
I'm now curious about the 11% paprika - why are they so specific with that one ingredient?
Do ingredients still get listing in order of amount in product? Is that by weight or volume?
hence paprika is listed because it's the only "spice" in there
And Chicken salt is great. But only with chips. Having chicken salt with fish and chips is pretty much insane.
for their food.
Is chip spice a special blend of spices which is never used anywhere else? Because you can get spice on your chips in loads of places, even in Nandos!
it tastes like heavy industry
if you like.
