Going to see the bling ring tonight. What are you up to?
What's a bling ring?
eating and working beforehand
I have a bad feeling about today.
and probably look for a flat
someone at my work lives near you, meow. his name's andrew.
watched OZ the great and powerful last night. apart from the rather rubbish make up on
Mila Kunis to make her the wicked which of the west
it was actually fucking amazing. big fan of franco.
I'm really sleepy as the baby was quite unsettled last night, plus I had an early morning meeting, but it was a really exciting one and I got a good breakfast.
I have a howler of a day ahead as one of my colleagues is going on holiday on Thursday for a fortnight and she has been kicking all of her work into the long grass for the last wee while, knowing that I'll deal with it all while she's away. She has form for doing this. It's fine though, it will keep me busy and I'll be getting a filthy bonus and she won't.
Tonight I am doing some pro bono work for a friend of mine who is making a film. I am a non exec producer on it, and it is all rather brilliant and I'm really lucky to be involved. I just wish I wasn't so tired. I have another 7.30am breakfast meeting tomorrow too. Zzzzz. I have no lunch meetings today so I think I'll go for a massage.
and having beer at the Waggon & Horses.
Just have to get through the worst day of the week first.
I've narrowly avoided a hangover, despite having no recollection of how I got home.
I'm on the radio tonight.
Not long back from a meeting with Clash Mag.
My footsies ae hurting. I cannot seem to find a good pair of heels that work well for work engagements, that enable me to run places because I'm always late.
Does any ladies recommend a good shoe shop (Got Office/Clarks shoes but both hurt).
I am not wearing trainers to work with a dress. Unless they're converse and I'm dressing down for the day.
She's super important and busy and she looks sexy when she runs in her pencil dress. leave her alone.
I run between meetings in ballet pumps that I keep in my bag. Aldo are good for work heels.
We should start that business we're always talking about. It would be insane ;)
I wouldn't even know what day of the week it is if it weren't for this thread.
Might eat some crisps and drink some beer in my back garden.
Then and friend and I are DJ-ing at our local arts festival. Should be fun.
I might eat a Yorkie to compound my masculinity or a Bounty to confuse it.
The first one (with the married couple - not, as best I can tell, sex people) was cheap and decent but basically Siberia as regards where I need/want to be. Plus they had a parrot, and while it was very pretty I'm never sure where I morally stand on keeping them as pets. Also, it bit me a few times.
The second one was a much nicer flat, with just one person and two cats (including this beautiful fluffy ginger cat). I could sorta tell from the off that we'll never be SUPER BFFs or whatever, but she was pleasant enough and it seemed like a sensible, adult place to live. All of the furniture is hers as well, so it's all really nice stuff. Downside is the location isn't ideal (but is workable) and it's at the top end of my price range. It's also all inclusive, which I always suspect of being a bit of a rip off, but at the same time I think it might be good to have that as it'll let me long-term budget better for the rest of my degree.
Afterwards I walked home from stop #2 and discovered it's right near the Murrayfield tram stop. That'll be useful, if I'm still here in 2019.
Is murrayfield not a right pain though for you? how desperate are you to move quickly?
If you want to hug it out, you'll find me over in the Letting agents are wankers thread.
the two places I need to go most are my campus and Leith. there's a bus from there to Leith, getting to campus is a bit more of a pain. I'll either have to walk/bus it to Haymarket (ie, WRONG DIRECTION) and then get another bus, or I can walk about 15 minutes or so down past the stadium to Gorgie Road and get the bus from there.
But the other place was north of the Shore in Leith, so would involve an hour+ on the bus.
I'm not in a huge hurry - I want to move first week of August - but it's more about finding the right place. The Murryfield one IS really nice. The girl living there works full time including various late evenings and weekends, so chances are I'd have the place to myself a lot. And it does have a 43" HDTV in the front room...
ALSO, moving there would not involve dealing with any agents, which is a massive plus for exactly the reason your other thread exists.
but I've just had the last DVD of season 4 of Friday Night Lights delivered...
Whilst an all inclusive deal is slightly steeper, it really is much more hassle free in terms of moving house. You won't have all the fuss of cancelling the council tax/gas bills etc if you cannot stand the girl and need to make a quick exit...
Going to a gig to see a friend's band support Grappler via shitty £1 Camden pizza
why must they always play crappy 80s music at the blood place
apparently our 4 year old came last in the egg and spoon this morning. Had trouble with his egg apparently.
Not sure why.
Using the projector and smartboard in one of the classrooms. Now it's not going to be the same playing on a normal telly, I'm a little sad.
