in fact, it's fine, you don't need to answer, it's Poland. cheers.
Shops in every town. Second most spoken language in the UK.
The indie answer would've been something like, idk, Palestine, or northern Sweden.
Your 50 points is for not saying Italy, France etc. Going further east or naming a province might have got you triple figures.
it's pretty famous for bread.
Italians have a lot of good stuff I guess.
Not Germans though.
Sadly Germany is the best at lots of stuff but German bread is bobbins. Every time I go there I eat one slice of that thinly sliced rye bread and instantly get a bloated belly and fart constantly for a week. Atrocious.
apart from the odd old place like this;
with a specific mention for "beschuit", essentially cold and stale round toast.
All bread is good though. Particularly ones which have meaty and/or cheesey treats hidden inside
Turkish shops in the UK always stock Polish bread, eh?
The Turkish shop near me sells Turkish bread, it's beautiful stuff and only about 60p for a massive oval shaped thingy of it.
France. Or England.
The single best bread?
Probably France again. Or England.
I've seen France. Their bread was much. They're obsessed with microwavable croissants and brioche.
The man-with-baguettes-in-basket image does not marry up to the true vac-pac brioche that tastes of vegetable oil
where it's MUCH WORSE
bread's the same in every damn country. it's bread, ffs.
i can't say i've ever eaten it and thought it was particularly good.
if they hadn't let the side down by inventing the panini? Absolutely fuck paninis.
Last time I was in Italy the bread from the bakers was absolute cack. Like brick.
but the rest is just heavy as hell. Fuck ciabatta also - focaccia is alright
perhaps I believe
Shout out to Irish soda bread.
Everything was lovely apart from one day (my birthday) where I had very bad sickness and diarrhoea which culminated in me shitting my pants.
That country has now been forever blacklisted
Plus, bread made out of potatoes!
India: Naans (King of the breads) and chappatis (hmm maybe queen at best).
both also excellent
apart from like the far east where they don't eat bread
and maybe like sweden
and a few other countries
beat any other bread. a good sourdough is pretty special, but still has nothing on a fresh baked man’ouche, barbari, lavash, sweet shirmal. anything like than.
mmm. warm, soft flatbread.
