Not sure of the need to bash Banksy in the article, but liked the pics...but is he really the Nick Drake to Banksy's Bowie?
It's amazing the power and inspiration you can draw from a picture. Where words can struggle, an image can be a unifying bond that can resolve feuds, build bridges and form relationships that previously were thought impossible. I'm often left flawed by pics, whether photographs, paintings or other mediums which fill me with such emotion that I can't help but express it externally. I'm not ashamed to say that I will stand in an art gallery surrounded by people with tears streaming down my face, convulsing with sobs without one iota of shame.
I know I often joke on these boards, and although I didn't mention it at the time, there was one such production that came from one of the numerous artistic, talented individuals who regularly posts here that flawed me in a way I've never felt before. It had such an impact on my life, that I finally built the courage to quit my job as a result. It was a moment of perfect clarity that is the closest thing I can associate with a religious experience.
I've probably over-hyped it with this hyperbole, but I ask that you don't just click this link whilst multitasking. Take a few minutes, clear your head and prepare yourself for the beauty within. If this image can affect you in even a fraction of the way in which it moved me, then it's all for the greater good.
but I prefer the portrait interpretation of it.
