Did any of you managed to hold down a part time job at the same time?
i plan to when i do mine. I reckon it's doable but obv gonna be a hectic year.
and would not have been able to work on top. hers was a combined masters and she's specialising in early years and special needs (she knows sign language!!!) so im not sure if that's different but i definitely got the impression that, much like my friends on the LPC for law, you don't get much free time.
so this could all be a front for a lucrative etsy second income shes not told student loans about.
Remember you'll be given a 5 week placement in the spring term andva 9 week placement in the summer term. During this you'll be expected to plan and gather resources. You'll also have ongoing college tasks.
I did it 5 years ago. It is an intense year.
I worked about 15 hours a week before having to give up to concentrate on the mountains of planning and marking.
Everybody who's said/ implied that it's intense is dead right.
I've just found out that i'd be eligible for student finance so working is less of a necessity. Still would be nice to do a shift at the weekend for a bit of pocket money though.
Bump for day shift?
This is when video shops were on the way out of being a Thing, so she spent most of her time in the back watching films and playing music too loud
The list of things to do to prepare for the assessments/interview is kinda nuts and a lot more demanding than it was a few years ago (according to teacher friends)
Is anyone else doing one in September?
But she knows people who did- possible but hard work. She was at Lancaster too. The course was tough enough as it was.
Think it only ended up being one or two evenings and every SINGLE FUCKING Saturday. It was a tough old year.
