Stops even trying to be professional right at the end.
just have admiration for conspiracy theorists i suppose
This guy manages to make him look like the shiniest turd in the room though
Neil has said afterwards that Alex Jones was just putting on an act and switched off completely when the cameras stopped rolling.
You'd think that Andrew Neil and Jones would have some things in common, given that Neil still seems to claim that climate change is a conspiracy, and, as editor of the ST, he pushed the line that the link between HIV and AIDS was a vast conspiracy too.
But not before
he's fairly controlled and reserved given the circumstances, you've got a moron shouting moronic nonsense over you, you've given him plenty of chances and plenty of time to speak, you've asked him to not to do this and yet the dickhead continues to do this, how should he have reacted? Anything other than him screaming 'YOU'RE A FUCKING TWAT SHUT THE FUCK UP CUNT FACE!!!' in the guy's face is good behaviour and much more than the guy deserves in my opinion.
but he really managed it.
Alex Jones was the guy who claimed that the Boston bombings were a 'false flag' event, but on the plus side, he has challenged Bill O'Reilly to a boxing match. With any luck they'll both give themselves permanent brain damage.
is that the fundamental idea behind those sort of conspiracies is sort of worthy -- the idea that those in power don't necessarily have the public's best interest at heart, and it's always a good idea to question their authority and the authority of the mass media (just for common sense reasons more than corruption and bias and whatever).
the big problem that undermines it all completely is that the sort of Alex Jones approach, and the approach of the sort of person who uploads 40 minute videos analysing Illuminati Satanist Jew Occultist Baphomet symbols in Rihanna videos, is that that's just as dumb. It's taking sensible questioning of the official story to the ridiculous point where they're just scrambling about making up their own answers (that depend on the entire world being based unrealistically around a strong logic of cause-and-effect, and denying the all too crucial existence of random chance and coincidence)
Don't blindly follow the official story, sheeple. Blindly follow my wild speculation and baseless narratives, you awakened independent thinker, you!
To Alex Jones.
You truly have to respect a man who is that batshit.
I was expecting the bird off of The One Show
Negates the meaning of the word
Love the sarcastic response from David Aaronvich
And the awesome website advert after rant
"RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAHRAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH
I'm a big fan of his book on conspiracy theories too.
I also quite liked Andrew Neil's muttering of "I say the second" at around 1.37...
it wouldn't/shouldn't exactly have been a surprise that he started shouting paranoid fantasies, and all this was maybe planned as a "let's have a laugh at the crazy yank" segment.
because if you can paint the people who attack the Bilderberg group as swivel-eyed conspiracy nuts, it makes it easier to discredit any legitimate criticisms.
without any assistance from anyone
It's that out of all the possible guests they could have invited on to talk about whether the Bilderberg Group is a pervasive influence, they asked Alex Jones.
where it turned out that all conspiracy theories were concocted by the government to make it look slightly like they knew what they were doing?
and ON to Infowars.com!!
(please don't actually jump off a building because we need warriors to fight those elitists like Obama and the Rothschilds and Ke$ha, so maybe just jump off of a springed ramp of some variety so that you can build up the appropriate momentum to jump on to Infowars.com with without hurting yourself too badly)
And that, is what is going to happen to Alex Jones.
