The one place you like being: the place where you are at peace with yourself and the world...
I actually thought of this thread while I was in the shower earlier. And I wondered at the time how many people would say 'bed'...!
the shower just seems to be a great place to think huh? the white noise of the shower kind of blocks everything else out and and makes it easier to think and relax. i find it almost has a kind of meditating effect. the heat probably contributes to this too.
I was standing still with the water running over the back of my head and scalp. It was quite hot and the feeling was utterly relaxing and very pleasant.
like a sleeping bag.
inside your mum
I had a bet with myself that my mum would feature within the first 3 posts.
My parents' house
a little shed with a window and a kettle. And a chair.
take a dump in it though
Can sheds have skylights? Sure they can.
On a virgin train between Glasgow and Carlisle (not first transpenine)
In my parents house
In a cathedral
(with the usual caveats that it must be a comfortable train and not too busy).
I was lucky enough to be travelling back that way through the snow earlier this year, and it was just stunning.
it's fairly isolated, there aren't even animals in there any more. I like sitting and looking over the city and imagining what people are doing there.
where me and my sister went for a picnic with next door when I was 5 and she was 7. I think it's out beyond Poynton but that's a guess.
haven't been there since, but in my mind, it's pure.
I've been to great places in it, seen cool things, been terrified and excited in it, laughed and cried in it, shared it with friends and family and been all alone in it. Ultimately it's my space and it can be used to keep the world out when need be, and that's the point of a happy place.
This is probably why I'm charging too much for it and no fucker will buy it off me.
