I'm totes up for this.
i'd like to get to £13,000 really - that's my aim
Is Millionaire still on?
i'm not into that - too many questions
I've tried, I'm not really that unintelligent, but I just don't get it. It is boring. You should definitely go on it though and in the meantime i'll try to learn how it works.
STill don't get it.
theres about 10 boxes. they all have some money in them, between 0 and £250,000.
you get a box. you don't know how much money is in the box.
to work out how much is in the box you methodically open the other boxes, one at a time, to determine what is in your box. ig you open the box that has 250,000 in it, they you can't have £250,000 in your box.
every time you have opened three boxes, a man offers you some money for your box. the value he places on your box is based of the value of teh boxes that you have eliminated.
you either end up selling your box for more than it is worth, less than it is worth, or you keep hold of your box until the end and get what is in the box.
It's such an awful show though. The whole thing SHOULD be rattled through in ten minutes, and each player should take a deal based on working out the average of the boxes remaining and taking the banker's offer if it's higher than that...
But Noel and the entire production has embued it with this ridiculous pageantry where all the numbers mean something and all laws of probability are thrown out of the window.
Having said that, going on it might be a laugh, you spend all your time (and it can take weeks to actually play) living in a hotel in Bristol with a very generous bar policy getting pissed every night (I know someone who was on it). The whole point is to make the players bond so they can do more stupid superstitious emoting every time they open a box.
its going to be amazing
although - i'm not sure work will let me have weeks off to go on deal or no deal.
i don't agree with your deal or no deal tactics to be honest.
Still don't get it
Well it is if you're a bit sad and find probability and risk interesting
i should know this if i'm going on it yeah?
but you can start here:
I have a strategy I'd use based on deciding roughly how much I want to win, then memorising a proability diagra, but I'm a very, very sad person.
Who decided chris-budget would announce it?
This all seems very strange if you ask me
i'm on the mailing list
SAD BUT TRUE FACT
to spend potentially 30(?) days with Noel Edmonds would be £300,000
