Why do I suddenly feel really hot after eating a bowl of mushy peas?
Or general revulsion at eating Satan's pus

Just what brought you to DiS and that.
Planet Sound is the short answer. The long answer is that there was a download available via DiS of Jarvis Cocker reading a Halloween Ghost Story. I signed up for that, lurked for a while, realised what a wonderful bunch of characters you all are on t'Social and the rest is history
I got the obligatory 'lifebelt' screen earlier though. It seems to happen when Skillz11 is posting
The best piece of advice I can offer is don't spend your time wishing for material things. Instead, go out and experience things - lots of things, anything and everything. These are things that you will treasure.
Oh yes, and

DiS is so slow today, it's nearly gonig backwards
Start one of your threads so we can all have a nice, non-argumentative thread.

Why do people put butter on toast before jam
so i started buttering this bread and then realised my girlfriend had already buttered it for me. she had already left for work. she had buttered this bread so now i had as well and it was buttered on both sides and people at work saw me eating a sandwich that was buttered on the outside
Sometimes I wish I was you
One (basic) way to work it out is:
Annual salary minus £9,440 (which I think is the single persons allowance)
That will give you your annual taxable pay. If you are below the higher rate tax band i.e. earning less than c£32,000 then multiply your annual taxable pay by 20% to give you how much tax you should pay between 6/4/13 and 5/4/14. Divide it by 12 and that's what you should pay monthly. Or something

5 I cook an amazing lamb kleftiko. the lamb just melts in your mouth. OMG I want it now.
Would need a bit of a meze for starters: haloumi, dolmades, maybe some taramasalata and tzatziki. Ooh yes
But I think the lamb kleftiko might've swung it.
