How was your weekend?
Hectic week ahead
Have you washed your eye?
You should wash your eye.
I cried all the way to work. I just thought I'd have a cheeky clean of the bathroom before leaving for work. Never again.
Weekend was alright. Got a massage, which was nice. Won the pub quiz (again), which was also nice. Saw the new Star Trek film, which was enjoyable.
Pretty good, really. Don't want to be in work.
Not a massive fan but I've heard it's pretty good.
Love a good pub quiz.
Benedict Cumberbatch is probably worth the price of admission alone.
I seem to get the same people stalking my profile. It's a bit worrying. Want to get rid.
Saturday I met up with some old workmates for a day's drinking and watched the football in the pub. Was good to catch up. Yesterday I did a bit of painting then sat and watched football for most of the day. Went for a run after.
Feeling very Monday-ish today. Hurry up Friday.
So none of the football excitement at the weekend really applies to me!
This week I'd going to be good though
-Long car journey! Tebay services!
-Job interview in a brewery!
-Seeing cats and dogs!
-Cash in hand work!
I'm going to eat Cumberland sausage rolls and feed the ducks :D
It could be a week sooner or a week later though. We don't have anywhere to live there yet and things are a bit up in the air.
After Wednesday we'll have more of a clue. Hopefully then things will slip in to pace and get exciting! Moving is still stressful though. I hate it.
death of a loved one > wedding > moving > everything else
so yeah its a hassle, and I always find I have more stuff than I thought I did. I always leave things till last minute aswell so things just end up getting chucked or something. still... Adventure times!!
Mainly to see your rat with the massive balls
We're going to have a massive van load of stuff though
Is shocking when I think I moved up here two years ago with two suitcases and now I can almost fill a transit van with all of my crap.
been here since Thursday morning, no idea when they'll let me out
massive chest pains, I collapsed on the bathroom floor
was apparently out for 4 or 5 minutes
when I came too the gf was on the phone to the ambulance
couple of minutes later they arrived
turned out not to be my heart
then I got massive fever
then they guessed some kind of mystery virus
finally on Saturday they injected me with some kind of boiling syrup and put me through a mega x-ray tube with my hands above my head
result: pulmonary septic emboli
since then they've been pumping me with antibiotics and sticking needles, tubes and electrodes everywhere
get well soon
let's hope so
here's me last Thursday
people should stop posting banal, tedious shit in this thread today.
I feel for you, man.
banal, tedious shit is exactly the reason I'm on here today
need a bit of relief from the life & death shizzle
but a nice thought nonetheless, ta
I bought new tyres for my car this weekend.
I was also looking into having the communal pool table in my building refurbished so that it's actually usable (at the moment the cloth is tatty and ripped to shit). Free pool round my gaff soon!
hope you're ok BITT.
Take it easy. I'll just shut up and take my bum pain like a man.
Big industry awards tonight so got my dinner jacket out (slight stain on the shirt, sure it will be fine) and have to be on best hosting behaviour. Not really in the mood though. Too hay feverish.
Have 1 month to find another job or I'll be back at my grandma and grandads like a terrible failure.
badly enough I'd rather quit than have a conversation about my future conduct anyway.
Didn't really do anything. Watched a few films, caught up with season 9 of The Office in time for the 2 hour finale this week and went looking for a cheap pair of Levi's (didn't find any).
Booked next Monday and Tuesday off work so just need to get through the next 5 days before 4 days off + Postal Service
I was hugely dissapointed, especially when some posho asked me to sit down. Sit down at a gig. Fuck sake. You were only seeing the fucking pan people prancing around. And you could see even though we were standing up!
My new guitar arrived!
Wasn't expecting it to arrive for another week either. Plays very differently to my other jazzmaster.
Went out for a meal with my gf on Saturday, and had tapas, which was really nice. I like tapas as you get loads of different stuff.
However, I was far more distracted by your orange amp. Looks amazing.
Love the sound of Orange amps though, lots of lovely mids! My 18 year old self would be insanely jealous of my current setup! First new guitar I've had in 13 odd years though.
What do you play through?
Very simple. There's only two of us so I normally play my electric guitar through a bass amp via my Big Muff pedal. The only amp I have is some German practice amp, so I tend to rely on other bands/venues when playing gigs. I am saving up though.
Big muffs and orange don't tend to mix too well I've found, which is a shame!
In a dream world, what would be your ultimate amp?
No idea! Our sound is very raw, but due to the lack of a bassist in our band we also need something that can help fill that gap a bit. Any suggestions?
Or a baritone guitar, but those are expensive. Or running a guitar amp and a bass amp in unison.
It's a nitrocellulose finish, which is much thinner than the poly fenders usually come coated in.
My Telecaster with a nitrocellulose finish (http://www.fender.com/en-GB/guitars/telecaster/vintage-hot-rod-52-tele/) is already "relicking" a little from gigging.
I always thought pre-aged relics weren't for me. Much better to play and enjoy a guitar and let it age naturally! I've heard nitro does rub off and chip quicker- have you found this to be the case?
But only in a good way, and only with pretty heavy usage. I've been gigging that guitar for five and a half years.
never seen anyone else with it until i think i saw someone in !!! with one last week
and it was pretty amazing, loved the stained wood colour and the alum pickguard was a cool touch. Can only imagine that with a pair of Wide Range pups would rock the house down
but don't think i've got it.
smashed my cafetiere so can't drink coffee noooooooo
Did you ride it on your road bike and was the surface suitable?
Yes on my road bike (more of a cross bike - so 35 mm tyres, mudguards etc) and no it wasn't terribly suitable. Everyone else was on MTB.
The whole thing was a massive slog. I thought it was going be easy being flat and all.
Cheers, I've been contemplating Manchester -> HB on my road bike but have no idea what it'll be like and don't have a MTB. Hmmm.
Liverpool - Leeds has a massive range of surfaces. Most of them were less than ideal for a road bike!
If your wheels can take fairly large tyres and it stays dry you'd probably be ok.
Doesn't look like anyone else here can be arsed either.
Another dress mis-hap.
Yeah this is why I went for big jumper and leggings today. Fuck da wind.
Think my mate is going to be a bit pissed off with me. Not even sure what happened to it, I 100% never got the anger at it and let it out the window.
One of them disappeared on Sunday. More hassle than they were worth as he told me I wasn't allowed to take them to the pub. I only wanted them to use as a way to chat up girls. Ended up just getting the anger at them, but i 100% never left the windows open, the one of them must have used its chimp-mind to open the door and sneak out.
That got me angry as I had stolen like 30 bananas from work over the last two weeks. All now binned. Waste
Anyone else see The Smiths documentry last night? Amy Lame does me head in.
£140 the pair. Or make me an offer. We really need to get rid of them.
I am seriously broken.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Someone's brought there baby in. I hate it when people do that.
I'm going to be on stage at Butlins. I don't know what to say about this.
