How was your bank holiday weekend? I'm dying a bit inside.
Friday round the in-laws for food.
saturday sorting some stuff for house move, watched Trading Places with a few beers in the evening.
Cardiff on Sunday was brilliant.
Nice day back home in the sun yesterday. Pub food, local street festival, sitting with the cats in the garden.
I used to go to Metros most weekends when I was younger. They used to give out free toast at the end of the night.
so it was just for the day really. Quite different to what I was expecting and the stage stuff was much more of a focus than the band. It was really good though.
Before that just had a bit of a wander around the town and docks. Couple of pubs and some food. It was busy down by the docks as it was the promotion party for the football team.
Other than that, good weekend. Busy week ahead. Would like to go back to bed, please.
Sunday was pottering around all over East London in the sun, then Sunday was Brighton - absolutely beautiful in this weather. Saw good mates and met their new baby, and just really felt great.
The highlight being a trip to an Eritrean restaurant, then Melanie Pain, Ultrasound and Ed Harcourt at the final gig at the Bull and Gate on Saturday. I was hoping to make it down to the Windmill for the Retrospectacular, but Ed Harcourt overran by about an hour, so I didn't.
I was going to try and get Aziz Ansari tickets this morning, but it clashes with Bruce Springsteen, so I didn't. I will be trying for Monsters' University and Before Midnight Q+A tickets when they go on sale in a couple of hours though.
Finally, an indie wanker food successor to vietnamese takeaway.
And then you can go and get annoyed at how messy and sociable they are.
How do you make a restuarant more sociable than another?
if the tables are bigger like Jordan said?
like a restaurant with tables for 4-6 will be more socialable than a restaurant that only has tables for 1.
do you see?
any cuisine that doesn't use cutlery is ok with me though.
Members ticket sale starts today.
Still don't know how to book online with a membership though. Is it actually possible? I can't find a q&a on there either, just a preview.
But my weekend was nice. had a shiter of a day yesterday though.
bought a harris tweed jacket though. so there's that.
Had three calls all day and managed to completely rip through a weeks worth of work and emails. Definitely going to do it more if I can and take the time in lieu
It was the same as any day for me, except the traffic was good and none of the sandwich shops were open.
I lost my phone on Saturday :(
I've been intending to get an android phone anyway but it's still annoying as I'm now without a phone until I decide what I want.
Any recommendations? I'm going to need to be on an O2 contract so my mate can sort with me out with the friends and family deal.
and I own an iPhone 5.
easy to use
latest version of android
Friday = beer festival.
Saturday = not entirely sure what I did but I was hungover.
Sunday = scuba diving taster session, went to a pal's for tea to meet their new dog and play LIGRETTO!!!!!!
Monday = eBayed loads of shit. Went to a pub quiz and came third.
This week is my last week working in Central London.
It's rubbish. Bank holiday wknd was good overall I think, went to Crosby beach yesterday to see the Antony Gormley thing. It's dead good
Nice photos of you and the woman on FB.
I stayed in. Saturday morning I went swimming outdoors in the rain at Oasis swimming pool. I then popped into Central and bought a pretty dress for our gig in the evening. The crowd were really, really nice and it were busy but the venue was in Leytonstone so not many of my mates could be arsed to go. Sunday was then spent on the lash all day in Camden watching bands in the Wheelbarrow and then I ended up some house party knowing one person who didn't even know who's party it was. I got home yesterday morning. Still hungover. My flatmate is in America for two weeks so I got the place to myself.
It was a bit of an ars-ache to walk with loads of equipment from the overground. Nice people & the pub had a bit of a legion thing about. The location was just a bit of a pain to get to/from though.
Ah, right. That's right down at the south end of Leytonstone. They're all proper locals' pubs down that end.
my bank holiday weekend was dominated by revision for an exam i have at 1:45 today, with a side of brentford's playoff magnificence. always oddly enjoy spending time at home learning/revising, but wouldn't want to do it more than a few days every few months.
double bonus about having an exam today: don't have to go to work before or after, so THREE DAY WEEK YES
that's where I am today as well.
economics is pretty great, though.
just destroyed a fourier transforms exam, now drinking a beer and listening to punk rock while my washing washes. probs gonna go get a burger from the farmer's market, buy another beer and sit on the park drinking the beer, eating the burger and revising in the sun : )
