Doubt my footage will be used- I'm hideous AND I was complimentary when the interviewer was clearing hoping I'd crush a beer can on my head and launch into a rendition of Two World Wars and One World Cup. I'm sure someone else obliged shortly after my interview concluded.
when various fans all tried to push onto a tube train at once, resulting in a pile of fat bald men rolling along the platform offering each other out, but mindful of the large numbers of police laughing at them.
Enjoyed Chelsea fans singing 'Happy Birthday' when Basel fans lit their flares too.
Dodgy defensively, sure, but probably better in possesion than any English team, and with several exciting players who could add to our league.
Luiz' goal was great. Terrible, terrible defender, but occasional moments of brilliance further forward. Find his whole whacky Lolotelli schtik annoying and wouldn't want him anywhere near my own team, but his end-of-career youtube retrospective will sure be fun.
yeah shave around the sides, but keep a little curly dome on top. But NOT centred - slightly tilting down my head like hat. And make it snappy, I've got a meeting in 10
The Young Guns blog was pretty good, then he got on twitter and became much like all the other Arsenal blog people - my opinion holds more weight than yours because I've got a wordpress account.
maybe they just want that lovely Mr. Klopp to find out whilst reading his morning paper and picking crumbs of German toast equivalent (some kind of sausage bread?) out of his very paternal beard.
Villa looked to have a top 4 place sewn up then shit the bed and let Arsenal nab it. Then he started throwing silly money around and it all went wrong.
surprised we've not had a Heynckes to City one yet.
think every senior member of the Dortmund first team's been linked with a Premier League move in the last fortnight. why? because the cunts COMPLETELY MAKE IT UP. they're story-tellers, even the broadsheet ones, nothing more.
how old are you now? you've basically put your entire twenties so far into following another guy around the football threads of a moderately-popular music forum.
imagine how much better this place would be if we didn't reply to or this eachother's football-related posts.
* whilst cranking up the Radiohead bants, obviously, TAG TEAM!
it's fine, often if can be funny...but then other times you can predict every boring retort people will make down to the catchphrase or even the type of colon on the smiley face.
anyway, this is boring, what did you think of Pierluigi Casiraghi in his prime?
On the one hand I do believe everyone's got a right to a living after they come out of prison - he's done his time and maybe that should be it. And obviously he made a stupid, reckless decision that happened to have terrible consequences rather than anything deliberately malicious.
But I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with him signing for a club I supported.
avb is about the same age as beckham, so doing a rough calculation and google image search that avb photo was taken at the same time beckham was wearing this suit and tie combo:
Still, I think we've more or less had the measure of them in games between the two this season and with them having little to play for, I could see us getting a decent result and alleviating some of the pressure elsewhere.
Mind you, we'd probably get royally Benteked our something if we managed to beat United, just to even things out.
the Bundesliga has obviously been splendid for quite a while, but the masses have had to have it forced in their face to realise. given their wage structure and their (pretty sensible) transfer policy, as several sources have alluded to, there's a very real chance people will ravage Dortmund's squad.
if they can only lose one or two of their very best players and continue to recruit wisely, i think there's a great chance them and Dortmund will be the best teams in Europe next season and the season after that, but it's a big gamble. if they lose five or six, we could just get Bayern seeing off the best of the rest La Liga and Premier League wise.
that wouldn't necessarily be a hugely negative thing in terms of how good and exciting the German league is, but it would be the most obvious marker.
it's genuinely possible that by the time the average prat in the street fully realises German football's great it would've already have been overtaken again, that's how quickly things evolve in the Champions League.
what we should really start doing, myself included, is stop being obsessed with what's THE BEST of everything and just enjoy the ride.
Pleased because he clearly is the best option available, but don't have any clue how he'll do in the long run (neither do our board it seems, so he's got a 12 month rolling contract). First time in ages we've got a manager I've known of before...interested to see which players he can lure to creaky old Bootham Crescent.
To stop this post becoming one only I care about, what do other DiS fans of League 1 & 2 clubs hope happens in pre-season? Would have to exclude those in the playoffs for now.
I was interviewed by some German sports broadcaster at Stamford Bridge last night.
Doubt my footage will be used- I'm hideous AND I was complimentary when the interviewer was clearing hoping I'd crush a beer can on my head and launch into a rendition of Two World Wars and One World Cup. I'm sure someone else obliged shortly after my interview concluded.
Woof.

lovely goal
but look at the state of that attempted block. shameful.
that handsome basel manager will tear him a new one
such lush hair
i love him
Feel for you DK
I was rooting for your guys last night as well.
They did their best, but a few unlucky breaks mean they made it to the final. Commiserations.
If I'm really unlucky and my ticket/travel application is successful
I'll be a reasonable £170 lighter :(
Less than 10,000 tickets going to Chelsea fans, right?
Madness.
FEWER
:(
9,800 each is the official allocation for both sets, yeah.
From about 53,000 seats. Pretty shitty, but to be expected these days. I think I'll be all right for a ticket but what will be and all that.
My dad once told a sky news team outside Loftus Road that the solution to our problems were to sign Beckham and get Torres on loan
How they didn't broadcast it and not end up a youtube sensation I'll never know
My funniest moment of the evening
when various fans all tried to push onto a tube train at once, resulting in a pile of fat bald men rolling along the platform offering each other out, but mindful of the large numbers of police laughing at them.
Enjoyed Chelsea fans singing 'Happy Birthday' when Basel fans lit their flares too.
Basel have been brilliant this season.
Dodgy defensively, sure, but probably better in possesion than any English team, and with several exciting players who could add to our league.

FAO Mourinho
Go away from Premier League, do not return, go to a different place, thank you
Let's start a rumour that he's already agreed to manage Man City's MSL franchise.
I Will Go Where I Am Loved AKA New York City Fightin' Sheikh's Tornado Tiger 69ers FC
given his track record he could quite easily have meant 'to the highest bidder'.
*Dr Pepper New York City Fightin' Sheikh's Tornado Tiger 69ers FC
Chelsea v Fiorentina should be a cracking final.
Bradord losing
:(
you just offended every single Burton Albion fan on DiS
Who cares?
so did you
some lurker just went and wept into his or her pillow
Good.
Fucking Burton.
Embarassed us in the cup this season
Fuck 'em
no love for gary rowett?
how we forget
He was very gracious both times we played them this season actually
And they've irked Royter.
I take it all back!
No one is ever offended by anything said in these threads.
Literally no one.
I felt blue that time meths said I talked about gary o'neil too much
you've got a soft spot on your brain pal.
TBO once took some bants for me actually accusing him of being in favour of slavery of black people
And got pretty mad about it
OH GREAT
ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR ANECDOTES
what, I mean why err....
http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view/52419/dawson-crying-o.gif
yeah but away goals dont count double
and we'll ravage them and savage them at burton on sunday. JUST U WAYT
re: OP
look at that metro journalist:
http://metro.co.uk/2013/05/02/doh-javi-martinez-left-stranded-after-bayern-munich-bus-drives-off-without-him-3710420/
look at him!
Duncan jenkins lives on
what do you even ask for to get that haircut?
yeah shave around the sides, but keep a little curly dome on top. But NOT centred - slightly tilting down my head like hat. And make it snappy, I've got a meeting in 10
No. 5: Like those really shit hyacinth-like ribbons you sometimes get on christmas presents
Wondered where Jamie Sanderson had got to
He used to have an inexplicably popular Arsenal blog and spout a load of ITK nonsense on Twitter. Complete gobshite, no surprise the Metro hired him.
Ha, was just going to post a similar thing.
The Young Guns blog was pretty good, then he got on twitter and became much like all the other Arsenal blog people - my opinion holds more weight than yours because I've got a wordpress account.
can't stop looking at his photo
I wish zidane would stop saying bale is the best player in the world
apparently United's decision-makingy unseen boardroom men
want Jurgen Klopp as Fergie's successor.
(and I want him to be my dad or something).
I don't understand how United are so successful
the men who run them are seemingly both incredibly indecisive and incapable of keeping a secret.
probably because the men running it have zero effect on what happens on the pitch/ont' training ground.
Hmmmm.
I don't know how these things get out
maybe they just want that lovely Mr. Klopp to find out whilst reading his morning paper and picking crumbs of German toast equivalent (some kind of sausage bread?) out of his very paternal beard.
i'd love some sausage bread right now
You know what would be good?
A chart that showed all the 'preferred successors' to Fergie, season by season, over the last 25 years.
Then we could all have a good laugh at Roy Keane, Martin O'Neill etc
apparently he's been closely monitored since his Mainz days
i.e. shut up, Lucien.
Roy Keane, though
*chortle*
Am I completely mental in thinking that Owen Coyle
was briefly mentioned as a possible Man U capo di tutti capi?
That would be the highlight of the aforementioned proposed chart
I think I remember that happening briefly, during Bolton's extremely short-lived reputation as "playing like Barcelona"
A media consensus which collapsed almost as rapidly as it emerged off the back of highlights of a couple of decent team goals on Match of the Day.
i remember that game, the one with the klasnic backheel right?
Ah, the days when it was said
O'Neill had gone to Celtic to get 'big club experience' in time for Fergie's retirement.
Is there an agreed moment where O'Neill's stock fell?
I mean, his early managerial trajectory was pretty much always in an upward direction, over-achieving wherever he went. Was it some time at Villa?
I think it was when
Villa looked to have a top 4 place sewn up then shit the bed and let Arsenal nab it. Then he started throwing silly money around and it all went wrong.
obvious this made-up story was going to be trotted out this week.
surprised we've not had a Heynckes to City one yet.
think every senior member of the Dortmund first team's been linked with a Premier League move in the last fortnight. why? because the cunts COMPLETELY MAKE IT UP. they're story-tellers, even the broadsheet ones, nothing more.
look in those eyes and try to question the credibility of the footballing press
http://metro.co.uk/author/jamie-sanderson-ukmetro/
without looking into it at all...
i'll eat my fucking arms if he doesn't live in London.
yeah its a surprise that you put so much stock in them
you really need to let this go, mate.
how old are you now? you've basically put your entire twenties so far into following another guy around the football threads of a moderately-popular music forum.
imagine how much better this place would be if we didn't reply to or this eachother's football-related posts.

Bit needy today, chief
<smiley face>
just getting a bit bored of this same old routine every day, mate.
obviously you're not, which is fine.
I think we're all pretty bored with it
It just takes one of the two of you to not respond to the other's baiting. Basic playground rules really.
it's not really just two people, is it?
you're as bad as anyone.
it's fine, often if can be funny...but then other times you can predict every boring retort people will make down to the catchphrase or even the type of colon on the smiley face.
anyway, this is boring, what did you think of Pierluigi Casiraghi in his prime?
fine, don't reply to mine, s'all good.
Biggest Forest v Leicester match in a while tomorrow
Could mean nothing if Bolton and to a lesser extent Palace do their bit, mind.
Don't know which side will be less confident of winning.
The idea of either team being in the Prem next season is faintly hilarious though
Did everyone see that bayern fan who ran on to the pitch to celebrate?
Stewards tried to take him away but the players shielded him then ribery gave him his shirt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TpZj-fePwk
I don't think he'll have left the stadium with that shirt.
BAE didnt know Suarez bit ivanovic
BAE doesn't give the slightest shit about football
it's easily his most redeeming feature.
After that Favourite Foreign Teams sub-thread a few days ago
this might be of interest to some of you: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2013/may/03/joy-of-six-teams-broke-up
Major news - Duberry released from Oxford:

Poor Michael Duberry :(
He should get in touch with Dion Dublin
Get involved with the Dube.
Grass
Snitches get stitches
Luke McCormick in talks with Plymouth.
I'm never sure how I feel about things like this.
Always good for a Friday afternoon

Pic of every premier league manager in their playing days*
Fucking KNEW Pochettino would have a hair band

*except for AVB because he was too shit lol
you can tell harry was thinking about wheeling and dealing even back then
Redknapp's quite a handsome fella there.
When did his face start melting?
He's a reverse Dorian Gray
The more venal and corrupt he became the more ravaged his chops. There's probably a beautiful angelic painting of him in someone's attic though
let's keep an eye on Jamie
maybe make a flip-book or youtube slideshow as his face slides off.
Young Redknapp looks so much like my neighbour.
fergie looks like benedict cumberbatch
the size of rodgers' head compared to the 2 he's standing next to
Allardyce looks like a fucking boss
Allardyce! :'D
He looks like a lost member of Mumford and Sons.
That AVB photo is remarkably shit given it's about 5 years old
I thought he had more of a Northern Travolta thing going on
but now you've ruined that for me
tbf
avb is about the same age as beckham, so doing a rough calculation and google image search that avb photo was taken at the same time beckham was wearing this suit and tie combo:
http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1117194/thumbs/o-DAVID-BECKHAM-HAIR-570.jpg?1
ps allardyce is incredible
yeah but look at the resolution of that photo and look at AVB's!
Jol looks like an absolute bad ass motherfucker
young martin jol also looks unnervingly like contemporary michael laudrup
Allardyce looks like the rest of his body was trying to catch up with his face
but ended up overtaking it.
This has made my head feel really fuzzy
Jol and Allardyce look COOL AS FUCK
Webb refereeing on Sunday AND Benitez has just been named manager of the month
Guess that means we're totally boned
webby ran it pretty much down the line in the 2-2
i wouldn't worry about that.
Mate.
I'm not.
Benitez being named manager of the month though. ffs.
he's had a great month to be fair
THAT'S NOT THE POINT
If you get named manager of the month, 12 of your first team develop leprosy and you lose the next 6 games 5-0. Those are the rules.
not sure it's such a big game for Chelsea, tbh.
you've just got to a cup final, and your three last games are very winnable.
providing you don't get completely botty-thumped, doesn't matter.
Yeah, a defeat at Old Trafford isn't really a season decider.
Still, I think we've more or less had the measure of them in games between the two this season and with them having little to play for, I could see us getting a decent result and alleviating some of the pressure elsewhere.
Mind you, we'd probably get royally Benteked our something if we managed to beat United, just to even things out.
Remember when brian mcdermott was manager of the month
I think he was briefly linked with the United job
benitez named manager of the month :)
good trolling premier league guys
Ahead of our game against Barnsley
Some travellers have rocked up at the stadium and parked their caravans where the away coaches go, and have no intention of leaving.
Backlash starts already - that didn't take long
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22383346
Pretty weak article really
If the best two criticisms you can dig up are 'hooligan trouble might be on the rise* and *big clubs are big*.
if you completely ignore the very good point about the flaw of German club ownership, sure.
The loophole thing?
Hardly a massive flaw.
to be fair, there's a point in there somewhere...
the Bundesliga has obviously been splendid for quite a while, but the masses have had to have it forced in their face to realise. given their wage structure and their (pretty sensible) transfer policy, as several sources have alluded to, there's a very real chance people will ravage Dortmund's squad.

A this^ for that last paragraph.
Worthington officially staying at York

In the ongoing farce that is Scottish football governance, 10 clubs are reportedly on the brink of resigning from the SFL
HOLD ONTO YOUR HATS EVERYONE, SHIT'S ABOUT TO GET TEDIOUS.
yeovil are possibly the filthiest team i've seen all season
incredible pitch invasion at the end
so so tinpot
