There's plenty talked about the ones that don't work, the ones which feel more like cash ins on the brand and nostalgia than actually being something worthwhile in its own right (Knight Rider, The Bionic Woman, Melrose Place and now a Bergerac remake's been announced).
However there's rarely a celebration of the series which do work as remakes and arguably improve on the original. Do you see anyone concerned that Battlestar Galactica isn't true to its original format? Or are there people campaigning for Doctor Who to reduce the budget and writing quality?
This is a positive thread about all those TV series remakes that really worked.
