Quite a few of them around these days, maybe...too many?
See loads of them circling when I drive down t'M40. I'm more of a kestrel man myself tbh
'Near threatened'? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_kite
Are they bollocks. Mark my words...
They've fooled us all
Literally anyone who leaves London for the weekend and heads west comes back all 'Red Kite this' or 'Red Kite that'.
A proper indie raptor spot would be something like a Condor. I saw one the other month in a location you have to be pretty clues up about to know of. You should have been there. Might head out see if I can spot it again this weekend.
Enjoy the FOMO.
Up near my Dad's house you can regularly see 4 or 5 of them in the sky at once, no idea how there's enough food for them all
Unless it's night. Or raining. Or if you're not looking out of the window. Or if you get off at Wembley.
train journeys = too many red kites
I assume meths' dream was some kind of dreadful prophecy.
proper golf courses too i assume
and one in mid-air fighting/chasing/eating action with a smaller bird.
seen some cool top gun style dog fights between kites and crows
thanks in part to a sanctuary
I know a bit about this because Northants (worst county) had them introduced years ago now, just a few, and the population is gigantic now. I saw a shit load when I went back home. The county has one of the biggest populations of kites. They're awesome things when they catch the thermals over the fields
and even now I sometimes see a sparrowhawk. obviously kestrels are everywhere
title is awfully close to a derogatory term for jewish communists
