I've literally never heard anyone say 'then' instead of 'than'.
but I've seen it written quite a few times.
They don't say "physic" they still say "physics", so why can't they get maths - a shortening of mathematical studies - right.
Most Americanizations do, and they wind up lots of people for some reason.

However, I would definitely say that reading often has greatly improved and maintained my grammar/spelling levels so perhaps that's what some people are missing.
Also, these days too many people have appalling spelling and grammar online so I assume many people look at this and think it's acceptable and copy them. TRUSTING FOOLS.

my ex said/wrote this ALL THE FUCKING TIME and any time I politely pointed out to him it was "have" not "of" he just said he didn't care.

well, it wasn't over my occasional insistence of correct grammar.
It was partially mutual but I like to say I dumped him because he walked out on me during an episode of Jonathan Creek and made me run after him in the street barefoot.
Our whole relationship is pretty hilarious to look back on really.

liked to randomly insert into comments (if we were having a Facebook 'conversation') that my grammar was bad. However, I couldn't take her comments seriously as she kept spelling it "grammer".
I still cannot take her seriously.
Shouldn't be that irritating. But it is.
