Ig there's any digital/online management roles around your way, let me know!
i'm an excellent copywriter.
i have no roles around my way but have suffered the redundancy thing a good few times the past 5 years and it sucks. best of luck.
Did it come out of the blue?
Are you getting a decent payout or is there an another upside?
the charity i work for is making the whole marketing and communications team redundant.
its utter madness, and i'm devastated.
Payout is the just a month's salary plus a few hundred on top...
The company that made me redundo have just gone bankrupt. In your face cunts (apart from the colleagues I liked...).
i saw this too, when i was getting Jessica Bailiff tickets.
I'd be all over it, if it was full time.
media? account management? advertising? WHICH?
content management, marketing, project management of development, multimedia production, mobile.
and just going to sit in the office working on it.
Can you PM your email, and i'll send it when its done?
will get it straight to HR as we have a fair few positions opening nowwwww
did a survey of companies from the sector up here a couple of months ago and project management was 2nd to coding skills in terms of what companies were struggling to find.
Might be worth checking out there website if your prepared to move to Manc.
forgotten what happened then. think he just said hi
You may want to think about going freelance for a bit whilst you look for something else.
If so, send me a message as we're currently working on a big social media launch and may need some helping hands at the digital stuff.
fair play to those of you offering advice and/or possible openings.
Pretty dubious of my own job security right now. Good luck.
comms is always vulnerable, as its more difficult to justify the expense of the function if you don't understand it.
add a healthy dose of internal politics and nepotism, and you get results like this.
hopefully you'd see it coming it time to act first, if it was the case.
and what salary are you looking for? i saw something today.
See above for types of roles within digital/comms
My life is here, and although kent isn't far, the commute would hamper a lot of the spontaneous things i like to do in town.
I'm being made redundant in September. Our whole department is being moved to Ireland. I have to spend all summer training up some Irish dude to take my job off me. Brilliant
on the plus side you have time to work out your next move. good luck.
It's not an option for me anyway. I don't love my job that much...
(Obviously this might be a step down for the_dazzled - but some of us CAN ONLY DREAM).
Who knows, crazy world ...
but i have no experience or knowledge of the pharmaceuticals industry sadly
I'm not massively keen on working solely on fundraising, as its essentially like working in sales sometimes.
If the organisation is good though....
...and beggars can't be choosers!
If you're looking for another charity sector job I'm guessing you might have already checked thirdsector, but just in case, do any of these take your fancy?
Already have my eye on the BHF role ;)
