Fitted vs. Non Fitted SHEETS

Balonz [Edit] [Delete] 31 replies 12:54, 8 April '13

They both have their merits. Nothing worse than a fitted sheet that keeps pinging off when you sleep wriggle or possibly bang. Non fitted is a bit loose after a night or two and you don't want to make that part every day.

I'm undecided.

  • I love fitted shirts on a man, especially when buttoned up all the way to the top.

    • Nothing worse than people with the top button done up, with no tie.

      Nothing at all.

  • fitted sheets are the ones with elastic over the corner or something?

or are they non-fitted? whichever, elastic is better

  • High quality sheets are usually non-fitted

    I'm coming round to them

  • We recently got a new mattress and its really thick so out fitted sheets don't fit on it

The mattress protector doesn't fit properly either. This is a source of great distress and discomfort for me.

  • Non-fitted

If you know how to do the corners properly. Fitted sheets are never precise enough, and, like your old ma's ladygarden, they end up stretched and baggy in the wrong places.

    Royter-Hatfood | 8 Apr '13, 13:06 | X
    • I must say, I didn't have you down as a non-fitted sheet man

      You never can tell

      waffle @Royter-Hatfood | 9 Apr '13, 11:33 | X
  • don't think i've ever heard of non-fitted sheets

even though i guess as a concept i do.

reckon 90% of my mornings i wake up with the sheets not intact. most of the time i just give up and end up having them vaguely on the mattress
