The actual Thursday gaming thread
Lots to talk about, rather start a new thread then use the existing ones (because they seem to be more topic specific then for general chitty chatter)
Bioshock Infinite
Whose got it? What do you guys think? I loved the introduction and the world in general, skylining is very entertaining though a bit disorientating in combat (but very entertaining). I'm about 5 hours in and the story has taken a bit of weird turn, after a fairly lackluster holding pattern which seemed to be emerging, as far as gameplay is concerned I think it's leaps and bounds above the other Bioshock games however I don't think it'll have the same lasting impact of the first game. I like the character interaction with Elizabeth as it's very charming & the are 2 characters who are great, you'll know who I mean when you see them, & despite being used incredibly sparing thus far have left an awesome impact. The are a couple of hidden surprises as well which are very well executed and warms your stone cold heart and add a lot of character and emotional depth behind Elizabeth and Booker if found (so it's well worth it to explore). The are a couple of awesome easter eggs as well, so stick around when things are happening, you may just crack a smile.
Conclusion -> Love it so far, wish the were some more memorable enemies though.
Metal Gear Solid trailer comes out, looks alright, but I fear it'll be another shitty movie meets solid game type affair. However I know a lot of people here love this franchise so here is a little link.... I guess I'm a little bit more interested in this one then the fourth, I just hope they can try and edit down the dialogue this time.

Transistor
New game from makers of Bastion appears to be very interesting... a blend of real time and turn based combat makes this seem like a winner + it has the narrator back with his soothing vox.

Also more information about a sequel to one of the best racing games this generation, Grid, can be found along with a new trailer here.

Blizzard Troll their fans hard by announcing a free to play app which is actually a part of their 3 core franchises and nothing more then a card game.... I guess it could be okay if you're into that world and the actual card game looks kind of fun, but it's not the pelvis shattering announcement people hoped for (and Blizzard had hinted at).
