Anyone been? Might move there for a laff
Very studenty and laid back city centre. Quite arty. Noticed that all the young kids were all rocking antifacist badges which I thougt was a bit weird. Found out why when i went into the suburbs to watch Lokomotiv Leipzig play, thousands of mental steroid headed facists there, was terrifying.
leipzig, come on, join us, pure fucking armageddon.
that's all i can think of about leipzig.
and i like chicago a lot
Birmingham, particularly the small portion of the City Centre where I work, is certainly very windy.
By all accounts it sounds like a pretty cool arty place.
It's quite nice, but very very calm. Too calm. NYT ranked it in the top ten cities to visit. Apparently quality of life there is great. I find it a bit boring.
which are really interesting and fun.
and on the map I'm looking at I'd pretty happily call it East
i dont think the beatles would have moved there at the beginning of their career if it was behind the iron curtain
had Hamburg been under Soviet rule? Come on...
I am not that much of an idiot. Sorry guys.
refers to the old communist state of GDR. I must admit personally I'd not consider Hamburg to be in East germany
I want to do that
should visit them some time
dunno if i could live with being an <<english>> guy in dresden tho.
hamburg's a good town, did an exchange there at school
dont really remember anything about it
dead useful stuff, this
Exeryones an expert in everything on here...
I'm clearly not an expert in typing
so been quite a few times when i lived in Berlin. It is a strange city as already said, but got a nice vibe. It'll be DIRT CHEAP to rent cos they're are so many old, empty buildings, flats etc (delayed reformation hangover i guess). Probably the main reason why Leipzig is seen as the next real hipster hangout....Berlin is too expensive now for dat lot.
plus my german isnt TERRIBLE
haven't been yet, can't leave berlin
