I offer up Peter Dinklage, really nice guy.. Now you!
very nice man
The Union Chapel last year.
Porkpie from Desmond's who had problem with a cash machine a few years ago near Belsize Park.
would watch Desmond's when I was at school.
if you were at school that would've gained you some respect. Although not as much as if you met and had a chat with...say...Pugwall.
band than Pugwall himself. I used to fancy her.
If he counts. He does in my book.
I also had a little chat with Rockette Morton
you shoulda gone DaddyORCips
you shoulda gone
Met him at a Gallon Drunk gig in Stockton (his wife's apparently from there and he was staying over for a bit)- was quite surreal.
Not the most appropriate location for a Bad Seed to be hanging out surely!
Aye, it was odd but he came across as a really nice, down-to-earth guy.
Nice woman, called me 'sweetheart' a lot.
I get scared about naming people on here now. She's pretty awesome.
Jessica Ennis? Jealous.
Wished me Merry Christmas. Was a long time ago though.
proper nice chap
It was two or three years ago, so not recent, but although I've seen the odd famous person since I don't think I've had a conversation with any.
the last one i saw out in the open was probably dean windass. the one before that was probably him too
and the other day he was in the local post office shipping dozens of promo vinyl
only exchanged nods so far though
I'm gonna out ta det lugnt on now.
look at me using his Christian name
I don't even know the guy
who also happens to be the manager of another (legendary) Swedish indie band
he just walked past my kitchen window carrying a full-length mirror
we exchanged nods
loads of polarising people, though. a scientist pretty well disliked in certain circles told me about what it's like recieving death threats and having to move your children to a safe house once. didn't really have much to contribute to that conversation.
tend to be shy if it's someone i'm familiar with, like i remember someone i met telling me a few years ago about a documentary series they were making and how good it was going to be and i just nodded. series was alright, probably not as good as they made out. was invited to spend the day with someone i look up to very much a while back, the few conversations i had with them were thoroughly engrossing and utterly anxiety-enducing and embarrassing at the same time.
We have some mutual friends. Lovely guy, really interesting.
Was pretty much how you'd expect Will Self to be.
I couldn't say anything as I had completely lost my shit. My mate kept it cool and just chatted with him about what he was up to. Really nice guy. At one point he said I "looked like The Beastie Boys" (He didn't say which one but I get this a lot and I'm assuming Mike D).
in Big Hands, Manchester, cool guy, mostly kept shouting for more Laphroaig
He had short hair so it only dawned on me slowly. He seemed pretty normal.
He was so nice.
and I didn't even realise who he was the first few times we met.
Didn't talk to him though. In short, I dunno
(who I didn't talk to but did smile in recognition)... last person I possibly met was Alistair Campbell a few months ago, who was genuinely friendly and non-malcolm tuckerish. I was a bit in awe, before correcting myself by remembering he had a hand in starting a war I'd protested against.
nice chap, seems quite intelligent. Short.
Hope they come back soon again.
I was in a pub near a theatre with a group of workmates, he was there because he was in a play. My colleagues were all going *oh, I didn't know you did plays now!* and I said *you won awards for being in Of Mice and Men, didn't you?* and he said *Well yes, but that was ten years ago DARLING.*
SCREW YOU MATTHEW KELLY AT LEAST I KNEW YOU WERE IN PLAYS AND WAS VAGUELY AWARE YOU'D DONE SOMETHING AFTER BEING ARRESTED AND ACQUITTED.
I've always thought the guy's a prick.
you know, from ride
unless you count the members of daughter
it would be the joy formidable in various pubs in manchester, wolverhampton & london
chatted about his new stuff, what it's like having people asking him to reform ride all the time, future plans, stuff like that
although i have heard through someone that he can be a bit off. Made some homophobic comments during a show.
he was very relaxed at the bristol gig though
support slot with robin guthrie trio
yeah, bit welsh rugby related for DiS. Still, lovely guy's and very excitable, to be fair to them though we had just smashed England all over Cardiff.
We disscussed the reasons behind Sub Pop signing Wolf Eyes; a crap gig Whitehouse that I was at with Cementimental (which led to us forming a band); and a fair bit of chat about the virtues of prog.
but MyAnna Buring smiled at me on the Tube the other day and that was better.
at a gig in glasgow, very nice man indeed!
or Joss Stone. Both pleasant enough.
Have friends in the Adult industry as well, but they're not super famous types.
Vikram jumped in front of me at a bar, I moaned, Ashley stood up for me. Hilarious in an unhilarious way.
Had some of his beer and peanut butter and sliced meat (not together).
After their gig in Leeds. Told the drummer their album was great. And then corrected myself and told him it was REALLY great.
I bet he still recounts that conversation to friends and loved ones.
They were really sweet and cool though, and super-photogenic and beautiful.
So talked to him then. He's not really famous though, outside of the Cardiff rock and Welsh Athletics 'scenes'...
Bloody good bloke though. Very funny
