That you know of?
(you're welcome, GeOff)
I'm gonna say it's really uncommon
previous office, 3 women had sex with one of the bosses sons - thusly despite being useless have good jobs.
[2 of them are in long term relationships]
I guess I was also looking for tales of infidelity, like one of the Directors who lives in Chertsey with 3 kids sloping off with one of the PA's at a Christmas do or something and being seen later with slightly ruffled hair and a shitty grin on his face...
i think most people here are single, and unsurprisingly.
when i used to work at a dj agency, there was a lot of international travel and boasting of cheating on girlfriends and wives, which was pretty gross
And one heavily rumoured one that I personally think is just gossips needing to wind their neck in.
Office parties have seen some inappropriate under the table touching and one HORRIFIC instance of a (married) man going in for a lip kiss with a (married, not to him) woman who just deflected it into a cheek kiss at the last possible moment.
if i was single i would definitely bonk the girl in the downstairs who has a kid
want to give her another kid??
are you going to bonk her or rub her up?
everyone says the two managers are having it off or used to years ago or something
Loads of people are sleeping together/have left their partners for other people in the office.
Not common here.
the CEO was Caligula. He worked his way through the PAs - it was like a company initiation. Actually, thinking about it now, the inter-office shagging once you got to managerial level was rife: reckon about 75% of the managers were at it; some with each other, some with third parties.
Mortgage Advice Bureau
the store manager was having an affair with one of the department managers. They were utterly unsubtle about it - everyone knew. The problem was, he was married, and his wife quite often used to come into the shop on weekends with their young children. It was really weird knowing we all knew what she (presumably) didn't. He was a nasty piece of work, not just for that.
I couldn't think of anything worse than having it off with someones from your work. EURGH. they're like Ken dolls to me.
Loads of intra-office relationships here, but I think it's weird to slay hot puss at work.
why pick someone from work? You need to keep some things to yourself and I hate blurring the line between work and between the sheets. If they all found out i'm really quite nice and soft and gentle as a character, my career would be totally destroyed.
It smacks of having a ludicrously blinkered, lazy romantic outlook.
because despite thinking FUCKING HELL, ARE YOU CRAZY i couldn't bring myself to (and indeed, fucking hell, he was an A&F model. In normal circs I'd have been straining at the leash, but I just didn't feel A THING.) (that's what she said, in before...)
Banging an intern definitely has a certain `lad point` quality about it that I find quite alluring. Not that you're a lad but... y'know.
and not going along with it, even better. Also, he lied about his age, let's not forget that.
:D (I don't DiS anymore. I'm not really here.)
Where the lord grants one fresh stint of unemployment, somewhere, he ends that of another.
and those which involve infidelity.
While I'm pretty non-judgmental about my friends' behaviour when it comes to their infidelity (because it's not really any of my business), when you bring an extra marital (or similar) relationship into the workplace, it so SO unprofessional and extremely upsetting and disruptive for colleagues who often have to cover tracks etc. Nasty.
are you actually more offended by the unprofessionalism and the disruption to work colleagues than the act of cheating?
just interested as its a very different stance to my own.
i am a bit ZERO TOLERANCE on this (not saying that's the RIGHT stance really)
I think cheating is vile and I wouldn't do it- not because of some kind of moral perfectoin that I possess (hahaha) but because I just don't think I actually have it in me to do that to somebody I care about. I'm incredibly loyal, fiercely so, but maybe more importantly I'm also quite practical and I like things to be pretty ordered in my relationships. If my head is turned to the extent that I'm seriously considering shagging somebody else, then the first thing I'd do is try to sort out my relatoionship or end it if it's not really sortable.
not everybody's life works like this tohugh and some people CAN cheat and lie about stuff like this quite easily. Sexual fideilty is not always a deal-breaker for every couple too. The reasons people get together and then go on to stay together can be very complex and who knows what makes people get into bed with people they're not supposed to be with. I try so hard not to judge those things those things I can't understand. I'm pretty practical and non-moralistic in the advice i give to cvheating and cheated-upon friends too.
IN the workplace though I have no time for it at all. don't bring your tangled life into my professional environment, you hapless cunts.
when the get in to marriages and relationships so the office is the only place where they can get something going on. Other people are shit at pulling in general so rely on constant close proximity to wheedle their way in - something the office is perfect for.
I find that older people can be really badly behaved at office parties - might be because they don't really get to party hard usually as they normally have too many of their children/spouses around...
But office relationship people are still losers.
Tim and Dawn :(
Jim and Pam are THE WORST. Tedious cunts.
I can't think of anything worse than shagging someone who sits a few desks away from me.
But the psychology of it is compelling. I mean if you're single it's odd enough but if you're married or whatever else... it's just a strange concept to me.
Then again, I find infidelity a bit strange as a whole. Getting drunk and having a regrettable smooch - I can understand that, but a sustained campaign of deviance and planned copping off with someone else? Weird...
and you both being single and it being quite natrual etc (although I personally couldn't do it! You'd run out of things to chat about if you both did the same journey to work, worked in the same office together then travelled home together and spent the evening together - thats just too much time with one person for me!)
But yeah, in our company, its usually company nights out/holidays where its frowned upon or you're seen as a prude if you DON'T shag someone else from our company.
Awesome. Sounds fucking awful.
I went out with someone I worked with once though. Learnt the hard way (LOL) that I'm never, ever doing that again.
Thats part of the reason I'm off.
They're interviewing my replacement. They specifically want to interview someone the MD met in a bar ffs.
do you wonder why you were given the job in the first place?
but I'm ace at my job so meh
And once involving a couple within the company, where the bloke slept with another employee. Happened just before I arrived so I just presumed the tense atmosphere was permanent (it pretty much was). My predecessor there had left of his own accord after getting wasted at the Christmas do and announcing to the newly appointed editor 'well, it's not who you know, it's who you blow'.
My current place has had a bit of shagging, and some thwarted shagging that has led to resentment, but no infidelity that I'm aware of.
i reckon another is brewing though
and yes this does make me a better person than all of you.
when someone has left their boyfriend for a guy in the office but then the guy in the office is flirting with another girl in the office and the girl who has left her boyfriend throws a drink over the girl who is chatting to the guy who the girl left her boyfriend for!! omgggggggzzzzzzzzzzzzz
but sometimes people tell you about it, even though you have no desire to know and you have your fingers in your ears going TRALALFUCKINGLALALANOOOO. Agreed you are a better person than all of us though. Perhaps for different reasons.
You don't even have to be told by them or anyone but if you're all out at a christmas party and see two people snogging who both have partners, you don't have to put two and two together.
But one year, apparently a cheating couple were snogging and grinding away RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and I completely missed it. this reminds, me, has anybody had laser eye surgery? I might start a thread.
since they let me use the toilet office at the end of the day and go to a motel room.
Now, even in a very small office, we have at least one obvious case, when both are married and have several children.
The manager there fathered a child with one employee who he then gave a management position to but refused to acknowledge the kid when he was born despite the fact she'd bring him in all the time. He shagged his way around so many people in that place and promoted most of them as well.
and if they were up for it I'd bloody love some naked times with them - but only if I didn't work here too.
also, she'd probably bloody love to join in anyway.
makes you sound like David Brent.
Hope nothing happens. There's only 5 of us.
I'm sleeping and living with my manager, but we were both single when we got together.
The Boss is sleeping with Tina, the HR woman, and they are both married, although i think he's separated. The cleaner also claimed that he came on to her because in her words, 'he likes big black women' but she was having none of it because he's too old.
Sam was having text sex with Abi, who is engaged, and sam also has been sleeping with Kate who is recently broken up from her boyfriend but is still in the process of getting back with him. Kate also slept with Tom, but he's now left the office.
I think that Becky may have slept with Tom and might be having an affair with Den who lives with a Polish girl.
Phil, the IT guy wrote my girlfreind a sex story once before we were together but she didn't like it. She has got rid of it which disappoints me.
Also, there was a girl called Caroline who has left the office and she slept with at least 4 people from here, including me. She was a predator.
I have been here for three years.
everyone seems too busy for extra marital affairs.
There was one instance of it happening in my last place of work though.
It's calmed down now with this bunch(recruitment company, high turn over). This company has made at least 3 couples though.
In one of my previous jobs, one of the girls slept her way to the director. VERY awkward.
I was hired by someone who was a sexual predator and when I spurned her advances she started essentially bullying me at work.
I got off lightly, at a work do, drunk, she came on to someone and hospitalised them for saying no. She spent about 1 year hitting people who said no to her at work events before she was eventually fired - for something else entirely.
It was like Capone going down for tax law violations.
(Was she fit?)
she hit a lot of guys but broke one guys jaw and he had to go to hospital. She was a mess. Thought she was Marilyn Monroe, looked like a blonde chipmunk. She was pretty plain, Her violent aggression and horrible personality just made her really so so unattractive.
not through lack of trying, obvs.
Although my mate (who used to work here) has started 'sleeping' on one of our workmates settees after nights out. hes married to a really nice woman. Shes a swampdonkey.
I'll let you all draw your own conclusions.
That's all you're getting. I've had to dodge her advances before as well.
beats sending emails and pushing paperclips. even did some rude stuff with the cleaner. definitely my lowest ebb as an office twerp
If only someone had said when I started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon.
like, not holding the door open for people?
that sort of rude stuff. not proud, but happy to share. always
Knew I should've started this thread. I fucking knew it.
