It's complete bollocks and probably quite dangerous, but I wouldn't say it was evil.
I just meant that I know someone who is a homeopath and he seems to genuinely believe all this bollocks, and doesn't seem to be evil at all.
Makes my blood boil. Cunts practise it, morons believe it.
but it does matter when people present homeopathic or other unproven alternative medicine for cancer or heart disease or something that might be killed.
I used to work in a hospital and know there are cases where patients have died after rejecting proven cancer treatment and used snake oil alternatives instead.
A homeopath lived up the road from me, she was nice, if overly superstitious and a little creepy. More a misguided lady with a herb garden than evil. I think if her son became ill she would have taken him to the doctors and then given him some diluted lemon juice or whatever. That said, I think a lot of the people who market it as a genuine alternative to medicine in the way that that article shows are absolute cunts.
My mum, who is a dentist and a generally sensible person, believes some similar stuff. This mainly means she dishes out lavender oil a lot. Strange to think people can really believe it.
Misguided ladies with herb gardens used to be sent to the ducking stool.
my mum used to take me to the homoeopath when i was a little kid every winter. i'd get a stinking cough like clockwork, and she'd take me there to get some tablets to clear it up.
it was only in later years, when i understood what homoeopathy actually was, when i was like...'mum? what the fuck'
sad thing is, my sister seems to have adopted it and uses the stuff with my nieces and nephew
