RIP Google Reader
http://googlereader.blogspot.co.uk
You're dickheads, Google. Reader was great. Until you (intentionally?) neglected it, then pretended Google+ was a replacement (or even had any point at all), then fucked it up with a redesign.
Anyway, anyone been using any of the following alternatives to fulfil the same function? Your thoughts?
Feedly?
Flipboard?
Pulse?
A N Other?

I'm gonna use
http://theoldreader.com/
yep, that's what i switched to
No idea what Google Reader or any of the listed alternatives are
I will say though, that Google+ is basically the biggest fucking waste of time ever.
sorry, not true
It surely can't be viewed as anything other than a colossal failure for Google though surely?
Don't call me Shirley.
oh it's a massive failure
but there are parts of it that need to be recycled into something better, authorship most notably
Not all of it
Hangouts are awesome and we use them all the time at work.
You're part o' tha problem, SenorDingDong. Part o' tha problem.
MUTHAFUCKERS WHO don't have a clue what the orange RSS icon next to the [f] and [b] does.
;-)
Even in it's neglected state
Google Reader's a great product. Really irritated that I'm going to have to find something else.
Any other recommendations beyond plasticniki's? Needs to sync seemlessly between an Android app and the web.
Similarly, I'm pissed off that Tweetdeck (as an app) is going.
I've not found anything I like as good for Android. Everything either has ads, or not enough customisation for notifications / I hate the layout / something else is wrong with it. Suggestions plz.
Are they not integrating it with Twitter's official app?
Twitter's official app is utter shite though.
Is it? I don't use it, I use ubersocial ( I'm one of those poor blackberry people ).
I use Ubersocial on android too.
I prefer it to tweetdeck.
I'm sad it's going, great RSS reader that I used every day.
It's essential for my job as an Internet Marketer. I've already been trying out feedly but I don't know, it's not the same. *single tear rolls down cheek*
So, after thinking about it, it occurs to me that it'd be possible to fudge something with
www.IFTT.com and get feeds sent to email, evernote or pocket. Would probably get usable results but be a bit clunky to set up.
could try
http://theoldreader.com/
don't really use them myself though so I've no idea
ahem

I'll get my coat

i've switched to feedly.
wish i'd done it sooner - it's great.
I don't know what to use RSS for
there are no websites I really want to check that much
i still use reader
the redesign they did a couple of years ago still annoys me though. feedly seems good
