I don't want to go home tonight
Got a text of my flatmates mum when i was out last night asking if i could come home and lend her a tenner for a taxi as she'd left her purse at home.
The reason for the taxi was she was bringing my flatmate home from hospital where she'd been treated for concussion after her boyfriend had hit her, he was arrested.
I'm moving out on Sunday thank god but really don't know how to handle the situation.

Friends or not, you share a home and you need to be a better person than you are being right now
You say 'are you ok? DO you want to talk about it?' If she does, you listen, If she doesn't, you ask whether you can get her anything. Maybe offer to share a meal with her if she's allowed to eat again. Ask her whether she wants somebody to sit with her or whether she would rather be alone. If she would rather be alone then make sure she knows you're around if she needs anything.
Sometimes a cup of tea and a few very asinine words can go a long long way to a person who is in shock. It's really not much to ask and there is every possibility that this women is fucking terrified right now and reliving every moment of it in her head. good luck (and sorry for calling you a cunt. )
