DiS - can you help me book gigs in The North(ish) on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th May?
hiya,
my bands Her Parents (http://herparents.bandcamp.com /JAG) and Internet Forever (http://tapealarm.bandcamp.com /2xJAG) as well as ehwhat's Stairs To Korea (http://stairstokorea.bandcamp.com /nonJAG) are going on tour and we're having difficulty nailing the last couple of dates for it.
25th = Manchester (Kraak), 26th = Glasgow (Old Hairdressers)
27th - have got in touch with a few promoters in Newcastle but not making much headway
28th - could play anywhere in the north/yorkshire/midlands etc really. sheffield/leeds/nottingham/birmingham etc
29th = oxford (wheatsheaf), 30th = cardiff (undertone), 31st = Brighton (prince albert), 1st = London (OBL))
Anyone fancy helping out?

I don't, no. I know some Manchester promoters who've booked stuff there before.
But they seem like the sort of place to contact directly.
Fuck, The Fall are playing there soon!
P.S. My reasons for suggesting this place are slightly selfish, as it means I can come along. It's a great venue/place though.

I wouldn't have thought so, but I don't really know.
It's on the Manchester-Leeds train line, and the last train to both of those places are after 11.30, and the venue is ~5 mins walk to station.
Hmmm, maybe. I don't really know what I'm doing, and am at Primavera the week prior to that. I would like to though!
