the Halloween bit where Pierce Brosnan is the house.
it actually wasn't awful. not that good, but decent enough. surprised, because the last time i tried to watch a new one it was diabolical.
they've improved some bits, where other bits have gotten worse. All the post-classic episodes seem to just have weird ratios of good things to dodgier things.
That said, the characters are all worse now. For example, Skinner no longer being a Vietnam vet, and just being a bit of a dickish headteacher; and Ralph no longer being a well-observed awkward, kind of weird kid and now just having every possible learning difficulty there is.
it's even a trope namer on this http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/main/Flanderization
it sounds really really bad
it's still Hank Azaria
but it was notably different
and falls asleep at the wheel, hears a buzzing sound or something, wakes up & shouts, "i'll get it" and then dives head-first out of the car door. laughed for a good ten minutes.
non-classic simpsons bits everyone goes on about, that arent funny -
stupid sexy flanders
no ones gay for moleman
the second is shite
Pretty sure that is the only one.
and the camera cuts away then back again and one of the rhinos is on the floor :')
"Hi everybody, my name's Moe or as the ladies like to call me 'Hey you behind the bushes!'"
The bachelor auction where Moe says he likes women who take their clothes off for money.
"Moe, Moe, Moe, why don't you like me? Nobody likes me"
something about it made me laugh for 10 minutes
the end of the scene was someone doing a monologue into a video camera, and then gets shot, shouting 'thanks a lot, steve!'
I laughed loads at that. Can't remember the episode, or the context. I think it had something to do with the comic book guy.
go joyriding in homer's car and end up in the playing fields at the school and drive through the hockey net and it bursts into flames. also the episode where moe is attractive after plastic surgery and he & homer decide to wreck the soap he is in after they write him out - the producer clearly says 'what the fudge!' but they bleep out the word fudge. creases me up thinking about it.
is a classic Simpsons trope
