You have one thin and one thick? You should have bought one of those duvets where its 2 duvets clipped together and together they are a thick winter one and apart they are a thicker one and a thin one for summer
so a year and half or so ago. It was the cheapest one in Sainsburys - it's really thin and sort of crinkly and it isn't long enough. I look forward to my next duvet.
4.5 tog + 9 tog = 13.5 tog warmth in winter. prolly bought it 5 or so years ago, was well expensive actually but totally necessary in our freezing cold house.
I just sleep under a sheet in the summer or sometimes not even that. Last night was cold and i slept in the farden in the summer house (which is mid construction and essentially a hut) so i took a very warm down duvet. A million tog. Im not vg at replacing duvets, i think i hoarde a bit. Im obbsessive about changing pillows thou because they are gross.
Which means he's probably had other girls under it, which I don't like.
It's artificial fibre from m&s and I'm unsure of the tog but i find it a little too warm sometimes.
Reading all of that back makes me really want to buy a new duvet.
Thick duvet is getting a bit ropey, was purchased in 2010 and could do with being retired soon I think
Tin duvet is going strong, was purchased last year and there is plenty of life in it yet.
I need 4 new pillows though as 4/6 of my current ones are pretty much dead.
I believe the duvet we currently have is the first duvet every purchase by my boyfriend
So I assume its YEARS old. Its very rank.

I use the thin one all year round
The thick one is there for the benefit of my girlfriend and for the rare nights when it is exceptionally cold.
your girlfriend is one lucky lady
Tin duvet?
You heard (read)
I bought it yesterday
10.5 tog. Haven't used it but it's from Primark so my expectations are modeat.
*modest
I think I'm going to go for a 10.5 tog
Seems moderate. 13.5 is too much tog. 4.5 is too little tog.
I have a 9 and a 4.5
that can be fastened together for a 13.5.
I invariably find the full 13.5 too hot even in the depths of winter.
What tog you got?
I'd like one of those baby sleeping bags but with a nob hole so I can bang and piss
I was in mothercare yesterday looking at those
WANT.
I've got one of those that you can add layers too
when it's cold or hot etc
how does that differ from a normal duvet?
gargantuanly
hmm
i can't remember but it cost a lot and is fucking good
Apart from Theo
does ANYONE know their Tog rating?
There's a thread in itself, questions that begin `Apart from Theo...`
Steved does
10.5 he's got.
What is this 'tog' is it a thing?
Bob Tog III
Its definitely a thing
You have to chose your tog when buying a duvet. The more togs, the thicker it is.
(why tog?)
I like a thick tog
i bet you do
It stands for Thickness Of Guilt
There was no Qs on the old fashioned printing press so they used Gs.
I bought one when I started uni

One of those two duvets for all seasons jobbers.
Have stayed on the thin one all winter cos of the addition of mswza's recently completed massive crocheted granny square blanket.
`massive crocheted granny square blanket`
not to be confused with the 14" Bush.
Microfibre or Goose/Duck down?
It needs changing.
I had a nice one until I moved in with a boy. And then he moaned that it was too lumpy. Stupid boys.
I've got two 10.5 duvets
One under my bedsheet and one as an actual duvet. My bed is dead good.
Sometimes I sleep in a sleeping bag within my duvet sandwich
When it gets chilly.
don't....stop
Oblong duvet

DUVET KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME AT ALL!
Can't be arsed to wait for someone to talk about Christmas in a way that sets up that pun, so there it is.
Might ask the inlaws for a new quilt for xmas this year.
Subthread:
How do you pronounce 'Duvet"?
Dooo-vay
Do-vaaay

(Who was it who said it like this?)
got one of them duck feather and down jobbies

Fuck it, I've ordered a 10.5 tog Goose and Duck down duvet
without consulting my idiot at home. He can deal with it.
not good enough.

farden
Just sent a text five mins ago talking about my nob interview tmw
I need to control my fingers.
I um....
no it's ok.
inadequate when it's this cold, the heating needs fixing and I'm the only one in the bed
Should treat myself to a new, thicker one. Or a hooker.
hi i have a 13.5 tog hollowfibre joovey bought about 2 months ago
thanks for asking
i just got a new mattress and i only got new bedding about 6 months ago
so i'm really feeling like i might just go and buy a new duvet and pillows and then I AM THE KING
I got a new mattress recently as well
No greater feeling
I AM THE KING OF SLEEPING
YOU FUCKERS BOW DOWN TO MY SLEEPING
You should put the old duvet under your bedsheet
THEN you'll be the king of sleeping.
no way, i've got a new mattress
let that fucker do its thing
fine, i guess
It's his from years ago
Which means he's probably had other girls under it, which I don't like.

you don't care what my duvet's like
all i know is I wish i was under it :(
I don't know what tog it is
but it's pretty light, like PickledOeuf up thread I usually sleep in just a sheet unless it's really cold.
I get pretty hot in bed.
Eygptian cotton apparently
oh yeah! mine are egyptian cotton as well
