"Real friends can put up with your worst behavior and be exceptionally affectionate even when you are extremely irritable. They believe in you even when you stop believing in yourself. They accept you with all your flaws and love you just the way you are"
According to someone on my Facebook feed.
Doesn't really change the fact you're being a dick though.

While the statement might be true,
would it be fair to assume that this person has recently acted like a total arsehole and has lost a few friends because of it?
It's the kind of thing you'd only ever post on your Facebook wall if you were an unrepentant jerk.
To be honest it's someone I went to school with and barely remember her from there, let alone know what she's like now.
I just enjoyed the inherent contradiction in its logic.
Well summised
Narcissists are always a bit of a drain on the emotions.
This is quite similar to someone defending a wrong or ignorant opinion with the phrase "I am entitled to my opinion"
isn't it?
Seems like the sort of thing only a serious hardcore bawbag would say after doing something especially bawbagish.
Who wants exceptional affection from their friends?
Weirdo.
Is this the FB stupid posts by people you know thread for today?
Just going to go on record to say I don't have this issue :D
woah...narcissist/unrepentant jerk...
just sounds like a person with a touch of depression tbh
agreed
fwiw it gets really hard to cope with really depressed friends. you naturally feel torn up for them but it's exhausting.
see DFW's 'The Depressed Person' for a fictional example.
awwwww hun xox
that is the sort of lame ass statement
that urges you to block someone
Pretty glad I'm not really friends with anyone
Acquaintances ftw
Alright Morrissey.
like you even have a choice...
x
