although rather difficult to enforce. Make licences of ISPs dependant on compliance, although not make it a criminal offence.
however, I think that overall, it, and its derivatives, have a harmful effect on society and peoples relations in that it objectifies people as images and encouragement of judgement according to the visual image.
Now there may be a place for visuals....BUT this current society fixates upon it to a greater extreme than any other period, simply because of the tools available. Now the tools cannot be uninvented, but we could reduce the ammount of immagery and generally learn to be more responsible in our assessments of people.
For instance, why is there so much visual pron? why not aural?
or do you think that we focus on the visual image of people just the right amount?
If you'd have been around in medeival times you'd want to ban paintings. "I think we should focus more on smell"
Enough to make even the most liberal, anti-banning person reconsider their views.
