You know, no social engagements or work to do, how would you spend it? Budget £50.
Sunday: London Transport Museum
Leaves some cash for a few pints here and there.
Cheap gig on the Friday. Smuggle in some booze to keep the costs down.
Cycle around town on the Saturday. Grab some free samples at Borough Market. Take in some of the smaller galleries, maybe Whitechapel and White Cube.
Try and nab some cheap on the night theatre tickets. Some cheap grub somewhere.
Post theatre, quick hop to somewhere that is putting on a gig/club night.
Sunday - walk to a park that has a nice cafe in it. Coffee and cake while reading the paper.
Bottle of wine from the shop on the way home to drink while watching DVD/falling asleep on sofa.
Total spend - £48.70.
...laptop plus moisturiser.
few good beers
wander the south bank
walk around soho at night (free entertainment)
bag o' sweets aint a bad shout
go to one of the big amazing parks (richmond, epping forest)
and go to Bodean's
(that's my approximation of london life based on DiS)
Good luck. The place is rammed 24/7.
Buy a beer and nurse it for a few hours.
Looks ace http://static.dezeen.com/uploads/2013/03/dezeen_The-Architectural-Ride-at-Battersea-Power-Station-by-Atelier-Zundel-Cristea_1sq.jpg
just have little dabs and walk round. Use the other £10 on calypos if it's sunny
Go to the Tate and the BFI bookshop, maybe catch a film, drink an expensive latte looking over the river. Think about going to the gym, don't go. Maybe go to a market, free gig or the London Aquarium and look at all the pretty shraks. (hmmm, pretty)
Finish with copious amounts of watching obscure crap on MUBI, make a rubbish music video out of crap old footage. Hate myself for not spending my time more productively.
Maybe play some Viva Pinata.
Mooch around Soho, walk down to the South Bank, see something at the BFI.
Curzon Soho, Mayfair or Renoir are better. Go before 2pm for much cheaper tickets. Curzon Soho's my favourite - it's got a bar and a coffee shop and you can sit in both of those on your own quite comfortably.
THere are lovely parks.I'd recommen splurging for a day pass on thames clippers and going up and down the thames. Hop off at tower bridge for a nosy (bodeans is there- you can get a massive meal with a beer (GAMEDAY SPECIAL) for £15- that can be your meal for the day. Also take the boat down to greenwich- the market has got tasty cheap food. you can wander up to the observatory, chill in the parks. Mooch around. Further inland, croadway market is good for a wander on a saturday, and there's a great kinf of country/ blues duo that plays outside a pub there. I coudl sit and watch them and the world go by for hours. Just bring a hipflask, you'll be grand. At night though, hmm- go to one of the clubnights like playhouse- just watch how much you spend on booze I guess, or get tanked first on tinnies in the park.
