I'm due for both but not necessarily loaded with pounds to pay them with
which should i go with?

if you go to the opticians
but only have an eye test, you can get cheap glasses online. if you're so poor you can only pay for one checkup, go to the dentist in case there's something wrong - better fix it earlier than later.

Also, just get the dentist to have a look at your eyes while you're there, they should know a bit about them, staring at people's faces all day
