in their unquestioning attitude, a world in which everything is awesome and skepticism will not be tolerated.
They are not for enlightened, intelligent people engaging in important research like the speakers, they are not about the speakers at all; they are for the audience to bask in the reflected achievements of the speakers and to feel like they in-turn are smarter and more enlightened than regular people because of it.

Her French is not very good. She just practised it and got a teacher to help her write it all and then memorised it. Some of my work colleagues saw her and said she was amazing and so positive and uplifting. But they could really remember what she said. That's the thing about some of them, they're just empty ideas rather than anything interesting. I quite like some of the ones based on inventions though.
i dislike what they call, 'Standing O's'.
