M is to do with pizza (in my mind) and by extension, feta is to do with feta and spinach pies and then halloumi is weird frying cheese. the end.
ranked in order of versatility. Feta's the only one I'd happily eat uncooked on its own, with no accompaniment.
but i do like feta
barbequed halloumi is the bee's knees
and feta is quite nice
thats outrageous, he really is a prevert
Mozarella is bland
Mozzarella is delicious on pizza, pasta bakes and in Caprese salad
Feta, again delicious on pizza, in salads, on potatoes
Grilled/baked Halloumi is delicious too
in their individual ideal settings each can reach incomparable perfection
I don't really like Feta that much
Mozz is the best. I like it melty.
I just can't.
They're all wonderful in their own right.
I like all 3 but the first 2 are key parts of my life.
1. Feta - versatile, works in sandwiches, salads, melted.
2. Mozzarella - same. More of a building block than a taste sensation in its own right.
3. Halloumi - middle class fad food. The pulled pork of the cheese world. Mainly liked by girls as it has no flavour.
Otherwise it's just flame-retardant normal cheese. But good stuff is a great cheese in its own right that you can throw on a grill, giving it taste and texture unlike anything else in cheesedom.
Can't stand the squeeky teeth.
however, i can't remember the last time i bought any of them. I'm not sure i ever have. make of that what you will.
does that count?
Mozzarella - Delicious and essential for pizza which is one of the best things there is
Feta - Poor, kind of how I'd imagine sweaty, wet chalk to taste
Haloumi - Awful, may as well pour a tub of salt on a plimsole and eat that.
The missus bought something called 'Greek Salad Cheese' the other day. It was shit.
Yeah, it's........ yuck.
should have called it "feta believe it" or something
Fresh buffalo mozarella is so so amazing. Even the starchy stuff is brilliant cooked.
Feta is so fantastic and can be used on so much stuff. My hot baked feat and tomato is a thing of beauty.
halloumi is great but I find it a bit rubbery, so it can probably go last.
Probably mozz > feta> halloumi
I SAID IT
'mazed at the number of people here not rating feta
there's actually quite a few going with the same order.
Cheesestrings > Babybel > American Cheese Slices
but you forgot dairylea and primula cheese spread
Dairylea is better than babybel isn't it? Cheese spread can get to fuck. That cheese spray too.
I like the sturdy texture of a babybel and sometimes dairylea is a wee bit runny. Although so great for spreading.
I could murder a lambrinibird and some processed cheese slices right now. Argh.
You seem to have culinary tastes that I can appreciate
got a list of literally the worst people ever to have lived
American style, some bacon, why not
even dirty processed cheese like dairylea.
1) Mozzarella - provided it's the buffalo variety, nothing beats a fresh creamy slice that melts on the tongue
2) Halloumi - can be a bit rubbery, but good for grilling and the saltiness provides sufficient compensation for its less than optimal texture
3) Feta - usually inoffensive and bland, good for a salad but not much else
