but for most people, pubs are alright.
nightclubs, sure, riff raff cattle markets.
one day people will realise
centred around the consumption of alcohol, they're pretty much the best thing going
it's how come nobody goes there anymore
Well, the good ones.
Got a lot of time for pubs.
I wish I was in one now...
all nightclubs are complete shit
at least 80% of the time, they are shite, yes. This evening would confirm that.
Daytime is where it's at. Go to bed early, wake up early, and wonder around the city when it's quiet. Stop at a cafe for a nice breakfast. Sit on a park bench and read the newspaper. Go for an early morning cycle ride. That's where the real enjoyment is.
No matter how much sleep I get the night before getting up early always makes me feel sick for the rest of the day.
Almost as sick as sanctimonious early risers make me feel.
I'd prefer clubs if the music was better, and if they were less generally a bit grim.
I rarely drink, and when I do I don't really want to do it surrounded by a load of people I don't know where I can't pick the music and it's all generally a bit loud, I have a nice flat, I'd rather hang out here.
Do you ever get bored of people realising that you're on-line personality is 100% fabricated?
I do - and don't get me wrong, this is in no way having a go at you. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Good work, sir.
he's no ali dia
Clubs are good fun although they'd be even better if they had more places to sit and were a tad quieter so you could talk to your mates, and if they served food.
i love sitting and quietness so much
Might stick a few fireplaces in too and games like pool.
As long as there aren't any rowdy groups or annoying people around, you can usually sit and have a peaceful conversation without having to shout over music or whatever.
I've been in a few ovely loud Wetherspoons in my time. Always a shame.
is a great way to spend a summers afternoon, especially if they have a beer garden. I cant think of many greater pleasures.
mobile phones could be banned in pubs. There's always at least one person, usually more, in my friend group checking football scores constantly, checking Facebook to see if anything more exciting is happening elsewhere, checking Wikipedia to put a boring end to entertaining pub debates that used to be fun. It's really affecting our relationships and none of my friends seem to realise this.
I purposely try and not to look at my phone for Twitter/Facebook etc when I'm out unless whoever I'm with has gone to the toilet. Nothing worse than seeing couples in a bar or having a meal when they're both looking at their phones.
Have a drink, have a dance. Go to good pubs and clubs, not shit ones. Jeez guys.
