Which is better, or are there any other recommendations..
Shit on a laptop though. On Xbox it's comparable quality to netflix
Go both, it's cheap! Your children will still eat
Tunnel Bear allows you to watch Netflix as if you were living in the US. The selection is much better, you get a great selection of tv shows.
just change the DNS numbers in the internet settings. A quick google shows you how.
In answer to the OP: Netflix is better for tv shows, Lovefilm is better for um, movies.
...and the obligatory mention of not all their content is shown on the front pages, use the search function on both sites to find more of what they've got.
You can watch US netflix without paying for anything like that. Just change the DNS codes - works on laptop, Xbox, ps3, wii, Apple TV etc.
What DNS servers are you using?
once you've downloaded it
streaming services are a million times better here than they were eighteen months ago, but still kinda cack. at least with Lovefilm you can get DVDs of things you want.
I've had lovefilm for 2 years and Netflix for a month. I don't see myself keeping Netflix for more than a few months though, probably quit when I've finished series 5 and 6 of Dexter and as much of Breaking Bad as I can handle. I'm working through a list of films on Netflix that aren't stream able on lovefilm too. These have included Drive, Whip It, Hard Candy, Little White Lies, Bones Brigade, Network, Powder, Hell, Drive Angry, Exit Through The Gift Shop.... My to watch list on lovefilm is massive anyway, and I do like the blurays through the post option but if you are only streaming I'd go for lovefilm, there must be 3 times the amount compared to Netflix.
I did have lovefilm too but never used it so cancelled it
I would have suggested using streaming sites like Gorillavid etc and they've served me well until recently but I keep picking up these particularly malicious viruses. It says that I've been accesing child pornography/ beastiality/terrorist websites and the computer has been locked by the met police. However, cos' it's a 'first offence' you can avoid prosecution and get your computer unlocked by giving them one hundred quid. Obvs, you and me know that's ludicrous bullshit but I can't help worrying that someone who's not very savvy or computer literate would get completely shit-scared by something like this (my old man for eg). Seriously, the people who dream this stuff up are the very worst types of cunts. Anyhow, that's a huge digression but has anyone else experienced this type of problem? - cos I'm ready to give up on streaming.
it's a bit crap tbh but it's only a fiver a month. definitely value for money.
and all that was on it was a bunch of documentaries and shit that was on 4od.
has it improved since then? or should i just look at lovefilm instead? i really wish they'd let you check out their catalogue before using it.
baffled as to people complaining about it in here, I can always find something to watch, today I've watched 4 episodes of Night Rider, and there's a free chrome plugin called mediahint that'll give you US netflix if you turn it on, which is handy.
and only a few films, and I never set out looking for a particular film.
so not that the tax avoiding scum
