Uncle Martin has died
He sort of knew before. He beckoned me to speak with him on my own in his room late last night and said "Whats up? Whats wrong? Somethings not right, what are the buggers up to? are they plotting something? Make sure Joilie (his wife) sleeps in here tonight"...She did and he left his body at 2:30 am.
hope everything goes as well as possible
:(
sorry creaky
that sucks
It's a horrible feeling creaky.
I had a similar moment with my Grandad just before he went. It's a bizarre feeling to think you'd rather be anywhere else in the world at that time whilst also knowing that there's nowhere else in the world you'd want to be than with them. If that makes sense.
I hope the next few days, weeks and months go as well as can be expected. <3
Condolences creaky
You ok?

Thanks
Its amazing, went in to see him thinking I would talk to his body, but there was no point, because If I looked at it, he was so obviously not there (no idea what I imagined) It was so empty. But the Madam Curie bloke had some good advice, dont look at the face but wonder round the room talking to him.
I think I was the last person to have a conversation with him. Its nice he asked for me to go in alone, before we all went to sleep last night (selfish mode) He re-iterated that he felt he should have been there a bit more for me when i was young, but I jokingly called him dad for the first time and he called me son.
I mean its nice that we finally made that small joking observation
I also dont think that Id ever kissed him before last night, so i got to do that before he went (on his forehead)
Hey creaks,
it sounds like, even though you're had something taken away from you, /you've/ been able to take something out of it all, too. (If that makes any sense.)
It's the finite nature of life that makes it so precious while we have it, eh?
All the best, big man. x
^this is quite lovely
It's good that something so special came out of this.
Sorry to hear, Barry.
