'Lots of sirens and evacuated people and police tape!'
what's going on?
phil's been to millies cookies..
and thought oh finally someone has blown up those NME characters.
they blew it up
as that wouldn't be very PC! IYOOOO
controlled explosions heard around central Manchester, all public transport affected, all kicked off around 8-9am this morning.
BBC News Channel's top story @ 11am: Horsemeat Lasagne.
hours later nowhere had covered it except the MEN. The news is ridiculous.
so it's not important either (or too much of a pain in the arse to send a crew to cover it). Although saying that, didn't the BBC move it's headquarters away from London? Or has that not happened yet?
Manchester's the governmental sub-capital, isn't it? Remember reading so anyway. If there was any sort of serious attack on London, the government would desert it immediately and head North, or at least that's what the plans were back in the day, when such things were a bit more plausible, Cold War era, etc. Sure i read about a time in the 80s when an attack was said to be imminent and Thatcher ordered anyone of any important at all to flee our shithole capital.
I've gone off on a bit of a tangent here, admittedly.
news staying in London.
seems pretty interesting to me
It's not like people had to go all the way out to Moss Side.
we can grant you honorary membership
I'm MME for another 7 hours!
we were evacuated out to some fucking factory in Cheetham Hill and it turns out it was an empty shoebox left in the Arndale
