Dead: Gore Vidal
Is also my third favourite writer.
Presumably you just didn't know who Gore Vidal was, right?
Just hadn't ever looked him up/ read him beyond knowing he was 'a writer'.

Two amazing gay guys and a lovely lesbian
Had a whole cult around him.
great bunch of lads
Came out by saying that he couldn't swim, attracted enemy radar and would from then on insist on being placed at the captain's table.
0 <- This guy
Been after him for ages
Purely for timing, probably Portia de Rossi because during my teens I had a crush on her (Sirens, Ally McBeal), then she went on to come out and stuff, obviously having been through some fear about it, and until that point I'd never given it a whole lot of thought to the decisions people go through when they come out, but I just shrugged and moved on as it shouldn't be a big deal and there shouldn't be any fear. Then she went on to get married to Ellen - who'd openly come out years before and that was shrugged at too at the time - and I thought that she should have been able to do that without fear too.
I mean Stephen Fry/Simon Amstell and that are all lovely but they've sort of exploited it in their characters and have good careers out of it, they don't need my plaudits.
I don't like my gay cousin very much though.
technically bisexual but given the context of this thread seems fairly appropriate. He's awesome in The Good Wife as well.
Dead: Alan Turing, for obvious reasons really, easily one of the most important computer scientists in history.
being an awesome and hugely important genius despite homophobic institutions at the time.
just reading a book about the history of the vocoder atm. basically, Turing okayed the military use of the gizmo that ended up being the vocoder.
....this is a music forum after all.

Dead: kenny Everett
He shamelessly flirted with me. Practically begged me to stay.
Funniest man on TV at the moment.
I bloody love Rylan.
but everyone has a favourite.
that's how I want to be. Madly in love and making music together. Perfect.
I got an email titled "new project code for CRAC". They thought the current project code was inappropriate.
