Hello - so my girlfriend's contract at her work has been extended, same wage, same hours BUT then have added on that she has to be on call if needed. Kindof every other weekend and one day in the week.
This is pretty off isn't it? To give her more responsibilities and restrict what she does in her free time for no more money?
She would get paid if she was actually called out, but it just means that every other weekend she can\'t drink or be more than an hour away from her place of work - which obviously restricts her social life.
I think she is pretty essential to her workplace - they could replace her but I very very much doubt they would find anyone half as good, and she loves working there so doesn't want to leave, but is she in a position to try and get some more cash out of them before signing?
