how much do you pay for gas/electricity each month?
great thread i'm sure you'll agree
scottish power have helpfully just doubled our bill to over £140 for gas/electricity
think i might finally need to teach my flatmate how to work the fucking heating properly...
It was £180 over three months for three of us before I moved out
This was with two unemployed people who refused to have the heating in though.
we're a small-ish 2 bed flat but it's ground floor which i get makes it colder too
still seems a lot though
too fucking much
£20 a month for electricity.
Gas is included in the rent. Cool.
£12.50 each in summer
£35 each in winter to have the heating on almost constantly.
We haven't given a meter reading yet though.
i'd give them a reading asap if i were you
just to be sure you aren't accruing a debt to them
We're moving out soon
So we need to do it in the next few weeks anyway.
This is where I tell you that unfortunately you're going to need to pay more if you want to save the planet
it's all included in my rent

British Gas for both.
They recently dropped our monthly direct debit for £16 to cover the combined cost of both.
fascinating
tell me more
£100 for both divided between 5 of us.
5 double rooms with 1 person in each.
Gas central heating with radiators in kitchen, lounge, downstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom, central heating hot water in master bathroom.
Electric radiators in other 4 rooms and electric showers in other 2 bathrooms.
It's not always a 50/50 split each month, but probably works out on average.
Oh, they're both on meters too - so this is probably more expensive than it should be.
...and we're really good at switching shit off/not leaving things on standby.
£45pm
Dual fuel with the Co-op. 2 bed flat with 2 people.
Energy is cheap as fuck when you compare it to how much people piss away on comms (TV licence, cable/satellite, mobile phone, broadband, netflix/lovefilm/spotify/ps3/xbox...).
...landline rental. Landline. Rental. For FFS Sake.
