Does anyone know of a phone shop in or around Old Street that will unlock my mobile?
Don't know about actually in the market itself
as I have a vodafone phone that I need to use with my EE sim. Possibly later today if I get given my cards at work...

London Phone Repairs - http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/london-phone-repairs-london
Giving them both a call now.
X-Pluss - they say they can't unlock phones registered to Orange (which mine is)
Couldn't get in touch with London Phone Repairs.
If so, CF has kindly offered to help you unlock yours.
Think I paid £7 to do mine online, no idea it I was ripped off but there's something about those places that just look like they'll break your phone and then deny ever having seen it before
It's a massive rip off having to pay to unlock your phone from a specific network
I rang another stop and they said to unlock an iPhone locked to Orange it costs £120!
What's your mobile and model number?
You can unlock your mobile phone by using unlock code from online service provider.I would suggest you to get this code from http://www.classicunlocking.com/ .Here you have to specify the country name, the current network provider and IMEI number of your mobile phone. Then you can get an unlock code from them at reasonable cost and unlock it.
I went to the shop next to the Old Street roundabout, and I think it was about £40 and a 1 week wait to get it done.
All these myths about being able to get it done for a fiver at the nearest market!
In the end I spoke to the person that I'd bought it from (iPhone 4) and they asked 02 to unlock it. I still had to wait 28 days for it to be unlocked though.
